I stayed at Hotel Buddha, Kathmandu for two nights, and it turned out to be much more than just a stay — it was an experience filled with warmth, comfort, and unforgettable memories.
The rooms were beautifully kept — clean, spacious, and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and everything was arranged so neatly that it immediately gave a sense of calm. After long days in the city, coming back to the room felt like returning to a peaceful little world of my own.
But the true magic of this hotel is not just in its rooms — it’s in the people. And for me, that magic was Subi, the lady at the reception. She is not only gorgeous but radiates a kind of beauty that goes far beyond appearance. Her smile has the power to lift your heart, her gentle voice makes you feel at home, and her warm, caring nature makes every guest feel special. It felt like she wasn’t just doing a job — she was spreading happiness.
One of the highlights of my stay was when I needed a cake arranged for my guests. I simply called Subi, and she took care of everything with such grace. The cake she arranged was more than just a dessert — it was a masterpiece. Beautifully decorated, soft, fresh, and incredibly delicious. It was presented so elegantly that it immediately reminded me of Subi herself — sweet, delightful, and unforgettable.
Hotel Buddha is truly a wonderful place to stay in Kathmandu. The rooms offer comfort, the location is perfect, but above all, it is Subi who makes this hotel shine brighter than any other. Meeting her was the most beautiful part of my journey, and her kindness will stay with me long...
Read moreHotel Buddha, located in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal, is a fantastic choice for families looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city. My family and I stayed for five nights in April 2023, and overall, we had a positive experience.
While we had requested two rooms with couple beds, we were given twin beds, which was a bit disappointing. However, this did not detract from the overall quality of our stay. The hotel is located in the Thamel area, which is a bustling neighborhood full of shops, restaurants, and bars. While the hotel does not have a lift, this is common in the area, and the staff was always on hand to help us with our bags.
The hotel's restaurant area is a real highlight, with beautiful decor and an open space that provides a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was also excellent, with a range of options to suit all tastes. The staff members were all friendly and professional, and the manager was especially welcoming, making us feel right at home.
One of the best things about Hotel Buddha is its location. Everything is within walking distance, from shops and restaurants to cultural attractions like the Swayambhunath Stupa and Durbar Square. Despite being in the heart of the city, the hotel is also surprisingly quiet, which was a real bonus.
Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Buddha as a value-for-money option for families looking to stay in Kathmandu. The location, quality of the rooms, and exceptional staff make it a great choice for anyone...
Read moreAbsolutely Amazing. We stayed both before and after a multi day hike, arriving at extremely early hours of the morning and late at night, both times very easy and fast to check into our room. The young man who we think was the “night concierge” was incredible, friendly and helpful with great English. Upon returning at 5am from a night bus we asked if we could pay to be let into our room early which was no issue and we were immediately let into a room, and received our baggage that we had stored there for no charge. We also asked if we could have a late checkout and this was no issue. Both times we asked on the spot and were met with a smile and “no problem”. We were so impressed with the rooms and consideration of the staff, could not recommend highly enough! Their laundry service is...
