Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed for a few nights after trekking Mardi Himal with friends. Upon arrival we are told that the private double bed room with our own bathroom, we have booked, is not available after all but we could get a 4 dorm for ourselves for the night and then move into a private the next day. Unfortunately we agree and when receiving the room the next day the room that was given to us was awful. The door to the room could not close properly but stayed open about an inch. This was the room closest to the street so we knew this would be a problem in the evening due to the noise we experienced the night before. Also the room wasn't very clean. We complained and were moved to a different room but were told that it would be ready later. Several times coming back we were told that the room would be ready soon but it wasn't until early evening. |Also we had our laundry done by the hostel. Another big mistake. Almost took two days to get it back and all the clothes were still wet. We also lost some clothes but we did not realize this until we had left Pokhara.|The location is really the only good thing I can say about this place and I would not recommend it to anyone as there are other better options in Pokhara in the same...
Read moreThis is a nice location near the beach. The place has private rooms and 4/8 people dorms. The value is excellent, but keep in mind that this place is still rated 1-star hostel so do not expect anything fancy. The establihment is quite new (less that 2 years) and at time of writing this they are building a second house for more rooms, so some construction noise disturbance was present.||Rooms are tidy, there is one fan per room for cooling, but it is not quite adequate, and the rooms can get real hot. Mosquitoes can find their way in the rooms if you leave your windows/door open.||Staff was very friendly and helpful with any requests I had. The back deck is a nice place for hanging out with other quests.||Warm water for showering was available if sun was shining and you we're quick enough before other people used it all up.||Pros|+Cheap|+Great location|+Access during the night without waking people up|+Clean rooms|+ Good bathrooms (2 western style toilets on 2nd floor)||Cons/things to improve|-rooms may get hot (better fans)|-no proper lock boxes in reception for valuables|-mosquitoes (nets would be helpful)|-upper roof deck does not have any shade so it goes unused||I'd...
