I love how this boutique hotel is well decorated at the reception! The staff were really friendly! We were suppose to reach in noon but instead we reach at about 11:30pm cause we missed the train from London and the staff waited for our arrival and assisted our check-in! So do not be worry if you were to check-in late in the night! We had a room at basement for three people. I must say the room is pretty big for European standard! Love that the toilet and the bathroom is separated so that when someone is bathing the toilet can also used just that when you need to wash your hands you need to walk to the bathroom to wash your hands! The toiletries provided was from rituals and it’s was amazing!!! Love their range of haircare and body wash! They had the rain shower in their bathroom which was the best!!! I really love it! Do take note that the shower and the sink is connected and there is no curtains and so you would need to close the bathroom door so that the water would not splash out when your taking a shower. The beds were comfortable and there were complementary coffee and tea provided. As we stayed at the basement there were window on the top along the wall and our room was facing the main road and there would be road light shining into the room but there were blocked out curtain which was great! Do note that when people stand along the road and talk we could heard part of the conversation but it’s did not bother us at all as this hotel is situation on a quiet street. It’s about 12mins walk from the Amsterdam centraal railway station and about 10mins walk from the Chinatown! It’s a pretty hotel with reasonable prices and good location! Would definitely stay there again when I next visit Amsterdam!

We stayed there for days (21.08-25.08). From the airport you easily get to the trainstation amsterdam centraal and from there it's just a short walk to the hotel. The decoration is fantastic as is the service. the receptionist answered all our questions and had good recommendations for restaurants in the area. the room was very clean and very pretty. at first it was strange bc we had the room right to the street anf biiiig open windows but it tourned out to be amazing bc the view at night was really nice. the sink was not in the toilet and shower room but that was perfectly fine. i rather have it that way so one can get ready while the other takes the shower. the shower was really clean as well. if you want them to they change your towels every day but recommend to re-use them. the bed was very comfortable and big enough for 2 people sharing. the breakfast buffett was perfectly appropriate for the size of the hotel and number of guests. the food was fresh ans delicious; there was warm and cold. bread and joguhrt and fruite. fresh coffee, tea and juices. on the 2. and 3. day we rented the hotel bikes and enjoyed our day. they are a bit pricy with 15€for one day but you get tge luxury of just getting on and drive away as well as they are really good quality(bike and locks including) i was really satisfied and if i go to amsterdam again i would choose this hotel.

I stayed here recently with my wife for a few nights while we were passing through Amsterdam on our 25th anniversary. We chose this location based off of the reviews and the location. It was an excellent experience! We had a late check in, but the staff was very accommodating. They provided us with a complementary cocktail after checking in. The hotel is a fairly small and boutique, which makes it very romantic. The lobby area was very warm and inviting - a nice place to have drink and relax. The stairs are winding and narrow to the upper floors, but there is an elevator. The room itself was perfect. Fairly large with a small desk and a wardrobe cabinet to store your clothes. The bathroom was very nice, with two sinks. It has a heated floor! Shower water pressure was good. The location for walking around the city was perfect. It was about a 10 minute walk to the central train station. We had a great experience here, highly recommended!

I had some concerns because of an issue with the preauthorisation, but the team tried their best to keep my reservation valid. Although I had been very upset before coming, the stay was worth it. Shout out to Magda who helped me with checkin and out. She is an absolute sweetheart, a warmful and generous person. I had read comments complaining about the size and the ceiling height of some rooms, so I chose the Deluxe Twin Room // Hendrick's and his Court, which is quite specious. WiFi speed is ok for my friend who had to remote work everyday. The lobby is a cosy place to chill out at any hours, with my friend we enjoyed peaceful evenings with drinks and chess games. As we had plenty of activities booked, we took the breakfast included option. But if you were more a brunch person and nothing special planned, there are plenty of nice cafés and pancake places around to spend hours. The surrounding is picturesque and wandering around in all weathers is a delight. It was very easy and fast to walk to the must-see locations such as the Museumplein and Koninklijk Paleis te Amsterdam, we haven’t used the 48h GVB passes included in the room’s rate at all. Cars could come to pick up in three minutes. The hotel provides bike rental services and this is by far the most efficient way to travel in the centre, but cycling in Amsterdam is not for beginners. The hotel is very close to the Chinatown and the Red Light district, there are an AH supermarket, a fruit and vegetable market and plenty of restaurants nearby. We felt very safe walking around, we met lots of families with children because there are also some schools. If you are a more a tiny charming guesthouse person than a standard hotel traveller, The Hendrick’s Hotel is a great place to stay, the building and the interior have a lot of character and offer very...
