We stayed here for two nights, after taking the ferry over from Wellington. Chris was very welcoming and told us about all the facilities etc when we arrived. There are coffee and tea making facilities in a living room near the bedrooms with biscuits and a small fridge. Guests are allowed to use this room and the room downstairs, where breakfast is also served. Breakfast consists of cereals, yoghurt, toast/fruit toast, tea/coffee and juice. The best bit for me was the beautiful view from our window of the sea, I could have sat looking at that for hours! There is room to park your car on the drive. The room was extremely clean, the en-suite was a decent size, as was the room, which had two comfortable armchairs. There was no tv in the room but there is one in the living room downstairs. Read moreWe booked this B&B based on all the good reviews. We did not knew that there is a new owner since september 2018. She was kind, but had no idea about things to do and where to dine. No inside information at all; only tourist brochures available in a shared room. Breakfast was not okay, really not much effort put into it. Just toast, yoghurt and granola bars. If you take an early ferry, don’t expect to get coffee in the morning. The hostess put a few things on the table but again, minimal effort.|We think this could be a good B&B as described in the old reviews, if the new hostess got to know the region and put a bit more effort in the breakfast.|Rooms were clean and wifi...
Read moreWe are a Team of 10. On arrival the downstairs smelt of cigarette and pet strongly but after leaving doors, windows open it was ok. The 2 ensuites upstairs didn't have any water pressure so we had to use the main shower upstairs which had ok pressure and the downstairs showers were good. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and we were very happy with the house. We found it big enough to have our own space, and a good space to relax and eat without feeling cramped. Easy walk to centre of town and lots to do and browse around when in the town centre and harbour. I would recommend this place for a family or team get together. It was good to...
