City Palace — Hotel in Municipality of Ohrid

Worst place ever!! Do never ever book a room here! We booked a room (suite) for our wedding night and made sure that they knew our late arrival after the wedding and when we came at night they had given our room away!!!

We had been traveling 1 hour from our wedding venue and had to search for a room in other hotels in the middle of the night in our wedding clothes and we did not find a single free room. So we went back.And at City Palace they were so extremely UNHELPFUL when I (the bride) started to cry because they totally RUINED our WEDDING night. The girl in the reception even started to laugh and said there is nothing she can do. After 2 hours waiting they managed to find a microscopically small room with two microscopically small single beds. They did not even say they were sorry and they did not give any form of compensation. Extremely heartless by them to give such an ending to a special...

First room had air conditioner that did not work. Packed up all of our stuff and moved to another room. Both rooms were hot and stuffy upon entering. The second room was 23° and we set the temperature to 20 and left for a couple hours. We came back and it was 27°. The breakfast is terrible. There are a lot of options, but nothing is fresh. It may be the first time I’ve had a European breakfast without a decent croissant as an option. The front desk staff was far less than friendly as we worked through our issues with the air conditioning. At first, they tried to convince me it was user error. Also, bathrooms were not clean! Lots of hair, filthy corners, and debris that I believe came from the caulking. ❌ Extremely Disappointing – This Is NOT a 4-Star Hotel! ❌

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I honestly don’t understand how this place has four stars — it doesn’t even come close!

🛏️ BED BUGS. Yes, actual bed bugs. I woke up with bites and found tiny blood spots on the sheets. Absolutely disgusting. 🧼 Dirty and unhygienic. The floors weren’t clean, the bathroom smelled bad, and the blankets were stained and smelled horrible. 👎 The staff’s attitude was terrible – zero professionalism, zero willingness to help. Just rude and careless. 🔊 No respect for guests. ⭐ Only the location is good, everything else was a nightmare.

I am deeply disappointed. Don’t be fooled by the pictures or rating. This hotel is a complete scam. 🚫 Would give it ZERO...
