Le Petit Bistro Lihnidos — Restaurant in Municipality of Ohrid

We came here expecting a nice evening, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, we specifically asked to be seated at one of the inside window tables. The petite blonde hostess told us that the table was “reserved for the owner” and made it sound like it was completely off limits. Just two minutes later, however, we watched her seat another couple—foreign tourists—at that exact same table. That already felt unfair and dishonest, but what made it worse was her attitude.

On our way out, we politely told her that what she did wasn’t right, and instead of apologizing or even acknowledging it, she rolled her eyes and brushed us off, saying she was simply following instructions. Her body language was dismissive and unprofessional, which really left us with a bad impression.

As for the food, it was average at best—nothing memorable, and definitely overpriced for the quality. Considering the lackluster service and the inflated prices, the entire experience felt like a tourist trap rather than a genuine, welcoming restaurant.

A basic lesson in hospitality is that fairness, honesty, and respect matter just as much as the food. Guests can forgive average dishes, but they won’t forget being treated poorly. Treating locals differently from tourists, or showing favoritism for certain guests, sends a very negative message. A smile, a simple apology, or offering an alternative solution would have gone a long way. Sadly, none of that happened here.

Overall, between the poor treatment from the staff, the dishonesty around seating, and the underwhelming food, I would not recommend this place. There are plenty of other options nearby where you’ll be treated with respect and actually get value...

Not even worth a 1 star. Last week, me and my two friends had dinner (or tried to have dinner) at this restaurant and had one of the worst experiences ever. We were sat outside on the terrace where there were only two waiters around who clearly did not enjoy their jobs. In addition, the service was extremely slow. After an hour, we received a bowl of fries. We did not receive any plates, just cutlery and a bowl of fries. None of the food we ordered was served with it. After another 15 minutes, one of us got our main course while the other two were left empty handed. We repeatedly asked the waiter where the rest of the food was. As we were only a party of three, we did not expect the food to be served seperately?! When after another 20 minutes the rest of us received their food, it was not what we ordered. The meat was overcooked, the rest of the food was cold and it was different from what we ordered. We asked for a replacement and to talk to the manager, at which the staff ignored us. When walking inside to try and talk to the manager ourselves, he barely spoke to us and forced us to pay for the entire bill. They did not apologise to us, or take any responsibility for the bad service.

The staff is rude in contact with tourists especially, not client centered at all, the manager is very egocentric and the food is extreme low quality. We would not recommend anyone to go and dine at this restaurant ever again. We have never been so shocked and disappointed with a restaurant...

Terrible service and the food is hit or miss. Our server was lost, 3 tables around us received there food before us even though we ordered at least 15 minutes before them. We waited for 50 minutes for our dishes. Me and my daughter ordered tortellini with beef medallions. The pasta was ok, tasteful and cooked right, but the beef medallions were not beef medallions, it was tough and chewy and NOT EATABLE at all. My daughter start spitting out the beef because was not eatable. I complained to the waitress and she after speaking with the chef came to our table and without asking wanted to take our plates. I said what are you doing, we will eat the pasta because we were hungry but not the beef, I am not waiting another 40 min for another dish, and I told her I need the prices of our dishes to be adjusted. After we were done she bring us the check and the 2 dishes were at full price, 650 MKD. I called the manager and explain the issue and he said that they inspected the meat when our dishes were turned in the kitchen and they didn’t see anything wrong! Really??? Nevertheless, I paid full price, no problem but I promise to him that I will never ever step foot in that place. Few waiters get around my table and listen, how stupid and unprofessional, and on the end they asked if I would care for coffee or desert on the house!!!! Are you kidding me!!! Stay away, there are many many nice places in Ohrid that will value your money and customer...
