Chun in Ohrid is unfortunately a very bad place. I received a cold coffee (although I had asked for a hot one), and I had also ordered a piece of cake to go with it but the cake never even arrived at my table. After waiting for around half an hour, I had to leave and told the waiter I wanted to pay for coffee. Waiting that long for a simple piece of cake is absolutely ridiculous. Despite the fact that the cake was never served, the waiter Antonio and his colleague still charged me for it, and instead of apologizing, they were vulgar about the situation and even laughed in my face. Very offensive people who look down on women.
The service is below any acceptable standard. Honestly, you’d be treated with more respect and efficiency in any Burger King.
I do not recommend this “so-called restaurant” to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere in Ohrid. There are far better places in this city than this tourist scam. Even if you really want to eat in that location, the neighboring restaurant is much more customer-oriented and serves...
Read moreWe came here with a group of 10 people after it was recommended by our guide. Despite arriving around 9 PM, we had to wait nearly half an hour to get seated. I ordered the filled pepper as a starter, which was supposed to include meat, but what I got was essentially a pepper filled with a giant chunk of cheese. The taste was passable, but definitely not what was advertised.
The real disappointment was the main dish: the moussaka. I’ve had many moussakas in Greek restaurants before, but this one was shockingly bland. Even worse, the center of the dish was still cold. I sent it back, and after another 20-minute wait, they brought me a new portion—only half the size of the original one, despite me barely having touched the first. Unfortunately, it was just as flavorless as before.
The bill for the entrée and main came to €15, which is far from justified given the poor quality and service. The only redeeming aspect was the white wine, which was decent.
Would not return, and definitely...
Read moreWe only waited for a couple of minutes after we sat down for the waiter to come, he was really polite. The food was also served promptly, I really liked that they asked us whether we would like the Shopska salad to be served with the main dish or earlier. I also liked that when I ordered the lemonade, it was served sour and without any sugar in it, as I am diabetic. At most places I’ve been, they had always served it with sugar added without asking or notifying you (I forgot to tell the waiter that I’d like for it to be without sugar). The food was okay, but quite on the pricy side, I’d say the quality and quantity of the portions does not justify the price (which you can see in the attached screenshot). But it is to be expected, as with these restaurants, you are always overpaying for the view, not the food or service ;) They also served complimentary bread (which we did not ask for), but it was free. One more thing, the outdoor chairs are really uncomfortable, if your height is on the...
