Dirty, Loud, Wifi doesn’t Work, and rude Staff Let me tell you why this place is such a disappointment. The room's outside wall(facing the hotel's inner courtyard) is incredibly thin. You can see it in the picture. Anything that was happening in the lobby or in the courtyard sounds like it is happening in your bed. Most tours leave at 4 am in the morning so if you don't have a tour likely you will hear in it your room. Also if a group stays up late then you will also hear that. The room was incredibly small and for the price, you can get much nicer accommodation in the same location. The staff was incredibly rude, and every time I talked to them acted as if I was doing them a disservice. There was also visible dirt on my towels and also on my bedding. The Wifi signal is horrible and you have to go down into the hall to get service. Nice thing was the shower. Great shower. Overall do not recommend. I will never come to this hotel again.

Room did not have any windows to the outside, so it felt stuffy. The only window is to the interior courtyard where people walk by and can look into the room and it’s noisy. There is no fan or air conditioner in the room. Wifi is very slow connection. There is no bottled water provided in the room. There is no kettle or coffee/tea in the room. There is no mini fridge. There is a tiny safe which can be carried off with 1 hand. The location is only good for San Pedro market but otherwise it’s not a tourist area. I would definitely NOT recommend anyone to stay here for the price they charge. Totally overrated 4* status, should only be a 2* hotel

It’s about 7 long blocks away from plaza de armas, near to the Mercado. The service is excellent, the rooms are pretty clean and confortable, the only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t have a fridge inside the room, and they do not have water bottles inside the room as other hotels. It is comfortable and I would come back, it is as is shown in pictures and the staff have been amazing, if you go trekking they give you a breakfast bag to go which is really nice from them. The cleaning lady super sweet, the lobby is so cute, breakfast area is nice as well. I which they have a/c unit.

If you are American, don't go. Carlos, the night front desk guy hates Americans and will try to do everything he can to make your stay unpleasant. ||||The Hacienda has a restaurant/disco attached to the hotel. We had two rooms. We were tired and went to bed at 8:30 p.m. At 9:00 p.m. pounding, bass- thumping music filled the rooms from the attached disco. At 11:00 p.m., it still hadn’t stopped and we went to ask to change to quieter rooms. Carlos said he didn’t have any available as the hotel was “full”. This was a blatant lie although we didn’t know it until a bit later. We are American and he obviously doesn’t like Americans. I then tried to sleep on a dining room bench while the rest of the family went back to the rooms. ||||At 1:00 a.m. I took my blanket and pillow and went to the lobby to sleep on one of the couches. Oh boy! Carlos didn’t like that! He said I couldn’t be there because other guests were arriving and he didn’t want them to see me (note – he didn’t care that we couldn’t sleep but was exceedingly worried how the hotel was portrayed). I told him that I wasn’t moving until he found us a room. It was a miracle! He found a quiet room for us in a full hotel! We got to sleep at 2:15 a.m. and had to be up by 6:00 a.m. so less than 4 hours of sleep that night. My husband stayed in his room since the new room only had a double bed, which me and my 2 daughters slept in. Husband said the music shut off at 4 a.m. Carlos said this never had happened before (yeah, right, I’m American but not a dumb American). BTW, I asked for a refund since we couldn’t sleep. Carlos smirked at me and told me to ask my travel agency, so I did. I emailed Happy Gringo (separate review on them). They promised a refund but I haven’t received it yet and doubt I will. I don't recommend this hotel if you actually want to sleep in your room. If you are fine with loud, blasting, bass-thumping, music until 4 a.m. then go for it. If you think this was a one-time thing and still want to stay, don't say I didn't warn you if it just happens to happen again and throws your sleep schedule off for the next 3 days of...

No Soundproofing - you will hear everything!|I write this as I’m trying to go to sleep, but I can’t because there was a group of people one floor down at the restaurant. I could hear their conversation like it was right outside my door (and I don’t think they were being overly loud - the hotel is just set up in a ridiculous way). Now the shower from the room next door is partially drowning them out - but who wants to hear someone shower next door! It’s not just the water, I can hear when put down their shampoo bottle or open a container. Another reviewer said there is no soundproofing and it’s absolutely true. There is even light coming in from all around our door, which also means sound. |All that and I haven’t even said that we don’t have a window except for in the bathroom. And the rooms with windows face the atrium, so are probably even louder. |I will say the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. It was extremely hot in our room and they brought in a fan for us. (Still not enough to block sound). But the hotel is set up so noise travels throughout and you can hear noise on every level intensified. Find somewhere else if you want...

elegante|+ bel bagno e doccia|+ possibile cena in hotel ||- oscurità parziale in alcune camere|- mancanza regolazione temperatura della camera|- differenza fra camere equiparate|- colazione migliorabile in quantità (dolce) e qualità ||Albergo in posizione abbastanza comoda e veramente molto elegante e curato dallo staff.
