I found this en route to my original booked hostel. I arrived a day early and after seeing (and smelling) the backpackers hostel I booked I can say this was cheaper, definitely cleaner, with in room bathroom/shower. And somewhat similar to another reviewer I didn't cancel my other room but spent the time here. Rooms various room types 4 person bunk style, 2 queen, 1 king. Each room with TV and DVD player. It was not very booked so I got an incredible low rate which might have also been part of the reason as well as off season in general. It is on direct bus line from Airport. The only reason It did not get a 5 rating is there is a minor 1.50 Sole (.50 U.S.) kitchen charge. I am familiar with charges for towels, lockers, locks etc but never a kitchen charge. My friend and I shared a room with twin beds, there were 3 altogether in the room. The shower had hot water every night. At times the toilet smelt a little strong! The bathroom could benefit from some hooks or rails to hang towels off. |The room was serviced every day and the beds were very comfortable. |It’s a good location to the centro historico and there is a laundry next door. |The breakfasts are good although it is the same every day. |There is fresh tea to aid digestion in the reception area as well as coca tea. |The staff at this hostal are excellent. Helpful and...

Warm shower is available throughout, but the toilet lacked strong flush so be careful when you do your business.
Location-wise, it is three blocks away from the main plaza but with a small hike required (some may feel short breath due to altitude sickness). It is away from the noise of the night clubs and pubs, but not the buses in the morning.
For the price I paid, the experience...
