We traveled with two families-each 2 adults and 2 teenage kids for 2 nights at the end of Dec 2022. Our room (Amilcar) had 3 beds (2 singles and 1 full size that fit 2 people). Our room was a bit dark since we didn't have windows to outdoors. Our door had shutter windows, which opened into the courtyard and let in sun. Our friends' room (Peiter) was very large, had 4 single beds, and balcony that overlooked the road--much nicer but friends complained about constant car honking--Peruvians love to honk their horn!! Pros: Staff (especially cleaning) were super nice and helpful. We needed extra towels and had questions about pharmacies, and they immediately helped. They cleaned our room every day. Hotel has Peruvian character and very cute. The front door to the hotel is kept locked, so strangers couldn't enter. There's a doorbell or we just rattled the front door and they let us in. My favorite part was the cute courtyard, cafe, and public/shared bathroom on each floor. The 2nd floor public bathroom had 1 toilet with door; 3 individual showers with door to lock; and 2 separate sinks, each with mirrors. The 1st floor was smaller with maybe 1 bathroom. So convenient when you have a large family with different bathroom/shower needs. Our breakfast was wonderful, included, and served to us that consisted of eggs (cooked to your way), fresh fruit (banana, papaya, pineapple, mango), yogurt parfait (plain yogurt, honey, granola/nuts on top), fresh bread, fruit spread, coffee/tea, orange juice--served in their cafe (1st floor adjacent to checkin). There were also other breakfast choices, but we only ordered our included one. Also, you could order coffee/tea/food at anytime at the cafe. Cafe had a wood burning fireplace--so cozy. The location is adjacent to 4 different pharmacies--got altitude sickness medicine (prescription grade but didn't need prescription and oxygen canisters), small grocery stores, and 10 minute walk to Cusco churches/markets. I felt very safe. Not many tourists due to Dec 2022 civil-political protests. Cons: floors are squeaky due to wooden floors; annoying especially in middle of night going to bathroom and others trying to sleep. Taking a shower in bathroom takes skill not to get water all over the bathroom floor. The shower has a small raised lip around it and a shower curtain, but water splashed out. My 14 yr old boy about flooded the floor. No heat but they provide plug in heater. We didn't need it as our room was small and kept warm. Our friends had a bigger room and they got a bit...
Read morePros:|Close to everything. 10 minute walk to plaza de armas |Great, friendly staff|Clean rooms|Restaurant on site ||Cons:|Luggage room not locked |No safe to store valuables||I booked this hotel through Expedia. We didn’t have to pay till we checked out. Communication with the hotel was great. They arranged for taxi pick up at the airport. Taxi pick up was only seven dollars. |Check in was easy. Our room was ready by noon. We stayed in room Moises. It was upstairs. They don’t have elevators, so expect to lug your luggage upstairs on your own. ||The room was small, but it had everything we needed. It had a private Bathroom, Two beds, a sitting area. It also had a great little balcony that looked out into the street. ||The beds were comfortable. They are about twin size, so don’t expect to share. The room does not have air conditioning, but it was comfortable the whole time. At night it got a little cool, but it wasn’t unbearable. They did have a little heater in the room in case you wanted to turn that on. The room does not have an iron or a hairdryer.||The restroom is small and there is not much counterspace. It worked perfectly for us. The shower pressure was great and there was always hot water. You did have to let the water run for a little while before the water came out hot. They give you one towel per person. I’m sure you could ask for more. Toiletries include bar soap and shampoo. ||Overall, a great place to stay while visiting Peru. The room was clean and the staff was excellent. Everyone was super nice. They have a restaurant downstairs that’s very inexpensive and open almost all day. They do have a luggage storage, but be aware that it is not locked. They do not have any safes. They do offer laundry services. I did my laundry twice. 6 kg for about 18 soles which equals about five...
Read moreWe absolutely loved our stay at Ninos. Such luxury after all our other accommodations in Peru! The room was totally dark at night, with no noise at all, and such a comfortable bed. Our shower was lovely and hot, with great water pressure! The lighting in the room was lovely in the evening, with lots of small lights rather than one overly bright one. All the furniture and decoration is thoughtfully chosen.
Outside of the room there is a beautiful courtyard which was perfect for reading, with comfortable cushions on the chairs. At night the courtyard was candle lit, which was beautiful.
The staff are attentive, and the cafe has a good selection of food and drink for all meals. There is an open fire when it’s cold.
I cannot recommend this hotel more, we loved it! The only slight thing to note is that the rooms are quite dark in the day, but it didn’t bother us, we were out all day and enjoyed the cosy ambiance in the evening.
The location is also very convenient, as it’s not far from the...
