The best hostel and service in my Peru trip. It is a family-owned hostel, so they work really hard and watch every little detail. Everyday they clean rooms and everywhere in the hostel. They give the best care, love and passion to the guests and this hostel. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is very clean. Both public and private toilets are well maintained. There are fans in the rooms, so it never gets hot. Every bed has its own lamp. There is a laundry machine for free use and lines for drying. The kitchen is very clean, organized, and well-equipped. The free breakfast is nice: toast, fried egg, porridge, papaya juice, tea or coffee. There are also herbal tea and a hot water bottle. The Wi-Fi is great. I managed to plan my travel with the Wi-Fi. A public computer is free to use. It is quiet in this hostel. Everyone respects other people, so nobody talked loud or made noise. There are a mall, a local market plus a few food stalls and restaurants all in a few minutes walk. The view on the top of hostel is pretty. The staffs speak great English, which makes everything so easy. They gave me the best care, many advices and even shared their food with me. The best thing is the family vibe here. Everyone greet and talk like family. I made many friends and life-time memories. I deeply thank this family for all the hard work, effort, time, and all the care and love. I wish them all the best. I definitely want to come back here again!!!...
Read moreWent to the hostel by myself. While the first few nights were really good and I truly met some amazing people. I felt the manager let me down. Kicking me out randomly without warning or precaution after I got back from the jungle. I brought a lady back the 1st night and this was against hostel rules. I apologized for this and we moved on. I stayed a few more nights and respected the place. Promised I'd never do it again. however about a week later after I came back from the jungle. I was told I wasn't welcome back. This came totally unexpected and I had to change all my plans. I wasn't given a reason and to be honest I thought it was completely unprofessional and pathetic behavior. Had a far better experience at the flying dog hostel with better services. I'd recommend that hostel over this one in a heartbeat. Just due to the...
Read moreThis family run hostel in the noisy city of Iquitos is like an oasis. Tranquility, green plants, hammocks and the best service I've experienced in my 2 months in Peru. Fabio is the most service minded guy, always ready to help and his mum remembered that I like my papaya juice with lime for breakfast, even after I'd gone to stay with another community. ||It's tip top clean and in walking distance of the center. ||I've stayed at Kokopelli in all major cities and they have beautiful locations and houses but can definitely not match the service of Moicca hostel. I wish more places in South Ametica would understand the importance of making travelers feel at home. A smile goes a long way...but I have not experienced that in a lot of places I've stayed in. ||Thank you Moicca for making my visit do...
