I would highly recommend this to all of you want a professional, educated, and trustworthy experience with kambo, Ayahuasca and flower baths. From the begining Carlos was friendly, answered any questions or concerns we may had about the ceremony. He made sure we all had a package that would fit our needs and arranged for our transportation and over night stay in the middle of the jungle. My wife and I traveled to Iquitos to get married and took this opportunity to experience an authentic ceremony in the middle of the Amazon with a close group of friends. We traveled from Orange county, los angeles, Miami, new York and many other places; we all gained clarity and felt refreshed. We had a private group of nine for our ceremony and he assured us we would be safe and taken care of and there was no pressure if anyone wanted to back down. This was true throughout our time there Carlos and all of the helping staff was attentive, supportive and caring. During the kambo they all watched over us closely, carefully and we're attentive to everyoness needs. During the Ayahuasca ceremony we had a private canopy with our group , Carlos and the shaman. It was peaceful, eye opening, and an overall amazing experience. After the ceremony we were offered to go to bed or stay with the shaman to continue listening to the chanting and songs through the night. In the morning we discussed what we seen during our ceremony and they told us the meaning of what we saw. As a former soldier in the US army who fought in Iraq and battling PTSD and drug addiction I left feeling new and with a new grip on life. Thank you Carlos and to the shamans. Wouldn't trade that experience for anything else this is definetely the only place we plan on using in the future. We have tried these ceremonies elsewhere in the past and believe when we say nothing tops this experience and attention.

Read moreI spent a week with Luz del Amazonas, doing jungle tours and Ayahuasca cermonies. The staff at the Macambo lodge was great, I felt very welcome there, and they went out of their way to adapt to their guests, making extra stops so my friend had a chance to see dolphins, taking care of everyone's dietary restrictions etc.
The drug itself was a very fascinating experience. Not necessarily pleasant all the time, but very intense and it has given me a lot of food for thought going forward. The main shaman, David, doesn't speak English, but with my rudimentary Spanish and translation from his assistant, Carlos, we managed to communicate well. They were both very kind, reassured me a lot, and also changed the location for the second ceremony at my request, because I was having trouble with the tobacco smoke in the original room. They are currently building a new and bigger ceremonial hall, but for now, the ceremonies are held in a small room adjacent to the lodge's dining room. I was very nervous, but always felt that I could trust them, which is very important for these kinds of experiences. That said, as a western feminist, I was a bit shocked when they told me the medicine might not work, and that I was not allowed to help with the preparations, because I was on my period and therefore "not clean"... I spoke to several people in Iquitos afterwards and they all confirmed the belief, so it seems to be very common. Nevertheless, this type of sexist nonsense prevented me from fully enjoying the ceremony on a spiritual level.
Overall, I would recommend the agency, but would advise westerners to be conscious of cultural peculiarities, and maybe look for a female shaman, if gender issues are...
Read moreMy experience at the 12-day ayahuasca retreat with Carlos as my contact and shamanic master David was like a rebirth for my spirit. From the moment I crossed the threshold of the healing center, I knew I was in the right place to embrace my journey of self-discovery and transformation.
During this twelve-day period, I witnessed the healing power of ayahuasca in six deeply revealing ceremonies, as well as two kambo ceremonies that challenged my limits and allowed me to release old patterns. I also had the opportunity to soak in medicinal baths with a variety of healing plants and learn about their healing gifts.
What stood out most was the harmony and connection I shared with a small group of three like-minded souls who became my tribe during this experience. Our union of mutual support and understanding made each moment even more meaningful and enriching.
The ceremonies, led by the shamanic master David, were like a journey into the depths of my being, guided by his sacred songs and ancestral wisdom. At each ceremony, I felt barriers melt away and my heart expand with new understanding and clarity.
After the retreat, I experience a sense of renewed calm and a deeper connection with myself and the world around me. I have gained a revitalized perspective that allows me to approach life with grace and certainty, knowing that I am on the right path to wholeness.
I would enthusiastically recommend this healing center to anyone looking for a safe and loving space to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing. I am deeply grateful to Carlos, David and the entire staff for their dedication and unconditional love on this journey...
