Hotel Nirvana — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

We arrived to this hotel in the morning and as we got to our rooms we were met by a strong sweaty smell, it was horrible. Also, we had booked a double room but we got a room with two single beds. The room appeared to be clean but the smell was unbearable, therefore we only stayed long enough to book another hotel - we don't know if the other rooms smell as well but we didn't feel comfortable trying to get another room. Even though we had payed in cash after a verbal reservation, (where we didn't get to see the room before!), and only stayed for 15 minutes we had to pay for the first night which we think was very bad of the hotel. We felt scammed and we don't approve of how this hotel do their business, if you are tricking people then you shouldn't be in the service business. We have e-mailed their company trying to get our money back but we haven't even received a reply, incredible! Keep away from this hotel...

I ended up here because my airbnb was apparently a scam in a bad neighborhood. My taxi driver brought my friends & I here & we were thrilled that they had 3 rooms available. We were all located on a connecting balcony. Wifi in my room was good but not in their's but we were informed of that. We had free breakfast & lunch & the food was amazing!! Every request we made, they provided. I can't speak highly enough of the staff here. I also spent some time conversing with the owner our last morning there...he's good people. I walked solo at all hours of the night & was perfectly safe. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, clean towels, clean sheets, & the rooms were very comfortable. I stayed at Hotel Nirvana for a week traveling around Lima and learning about Peruvian cuisine. The hotel is in a prime location of Miraflores,in which I was able to actually walk to many of the restaurants that I wanted to experience, like, Central and Maido. The staff was very friendly and helpful. So many times they helped me navigate around the city. They also have a very good restaurant there which I noticed gets a lot of locals for lunch...and if peruvians are eating here it must mean that the Peruvian food is good. ||I highly recommend this hotel and look forwards to...
