Saha Peruvian Kitchen — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

It was our last night in Peru. This is a country I will never forget. I wished we had a month to discover all her secrets. With all of the other boxes yet to be checked off, we knew we would not likely return. So we hoped that our last dinner would ease our sadness and we chose Saha. We were surprised that we landed on the roof top patio... a hip and contemporary space. A phrase I've been using a lot in Peru. We ordered the cascadias, the beef and the seafood rice. The star of the show was the rice. It was deep in flavour and seasoned perfectly. There was nothing special about the beef or the cascadia as both lacked any character. The service was ok as they were polite, yet not excited to have us nor did they explain anything on the menu. Beware of Salmonella! We had the last dinner at Saha before flight to Bolivia on Dec 16. My son had Ceviche at the restaurant. He got diarrhea when we arrived La Paz in the morning on Dec 17, and the situation became even worse in the next day in Uyuni. We could not even finish the 3 day 2 night salt flat tour, and we had to interrupt our tour and he was hospitalized. He was diagnosed with a salmonella infection in a Uyuni hospital after blood and stool tests. To the restaurant, you should really careful with your hygiene procedure. Your careless could cause lots trouble for your customers, and could even lead somebody death. For others reading this review, Peru has very good food, but think twice what should be eat in Peru. It could cost way more than the price...

Excellent place, good ambiance. Unfortunately, it was empty pretty early and that kind of changed the mood.the service was incredible. The waitresses spoke really, really good. English were very attentive and very sweet. We had a biscuer and it was great. But I think it could have been a little bit colder. To be fully enjoyable.I know. It is winter in Peru and they are not known for drinking everything as cold as Americans drink it. But they need to be aware that tourists. Typically from the united states like drinks very cold.
