We booked the 'matrimonial room', which had an en-suite bathroom and was very spacious and comfortable. Bed was double-size. The owners were very helpful and friendly and helped us sort out a misunderstanding with a taxi driver and the next hotel when our poor Spanish failed us! ||||We had to leave early to get a train to Machu Picchu and they packed us a very generous lunch, which was so thoughtful (and delicious!) The room and shower were not as warm as I would have liked, but I found this to be the case in most of the places we stayed on our trip. Ollantaytambo is quite small so everywhere was very accessible. Wifi worked well. Sheets, towels and bins were not changed after our first night but this was rectified when we brought it to the attention of staff. Could have used another towel in the bathroom for the floor (we were given a bath towel each) and hooks to hang up towels outside the shower but these were minor points. ||I saw the shared room by chance in passing and it looked very clean and comfortable.||The breakfast area had a lovely view of the ruins and the town. Breakfast was brought to you at your table and prepared for a pre-arranged time. One suggestion would be to have either a buffet arrangement or to check what guests would like in advance, as everyone was brought cooked eggs (which were nice - but if you didn't want them, they might go to waste). ||The staff allowed us to leave our bags behind whilst we visited Machu Picchu even though we were not returning to the same hotel, which I feel is oustanding...

About the room, at first it seemed nice and clean, but we soon found out that after the temporary air freshner was gone, the room smelled really bad. Also there was no hot water although they told us there was. When we said told them that, they didn’t want to assist us and seemed like they didn’t believe us. We felt unwelcome. Finally they admitted that there was not really hot water. Also they gave us one towel, we asked for two because we are two and they responded “it’s only one per...
Read morePRO: A hot shower and a comfortable bed were all we wanted when we arrived. Ruinas View delivered. Location is a bit of a walk from the train station, but is centrally located close to restaurants and attractions. It is walking distance from Ollantaytambo and Pinkuylluna ruins. Jesus helped us acquire a taxi to Cusco at good rate. The breakfast was on point with fruit, bread, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee. Laundry service was provided for 5s/kg. But you must line dry. CON: Power is frequently turned off during the day. The water and water heater run on a pump, and on the second night we had to wait for the tank to fill to take...
