We enjoyed our two night stay at Valley Inca. The rooms are nice, the beds are decent, and the showers are consistently warm-hot. The WiFi was troublesome for us - we couldn't even do research for our next place to stay. The upper terrace is a nice addition.
When we first arrived the room we received had a sizeable mold issue in the bathroom - the kind that you know the management knows about. When we mentioned it we were immediately switched to a different room, this one without the private bathroom we paid for. We negotiated a discount but never received the refund, leaving me a bit less than happy.
This hostel is noisy. Family lives on site, which includes babies crying at least twice a day, and in the middle of the night. One day we woke up to kids shows being blasted on a TV. The rooms do not dampen noise from other guests, either.
The host and staff are very friendly, and patient with tourist questions.

Family that owns the Hostal are very nice. Not the most “soundproof” place, at least for my room, since at night I was still able to hear some talking and music playing from the outside streets.
