We picked this hotel thanks to a great price deal online and a close location to the ferry terminal as we were headed out to Coron soon. I don’t want to completely knock this hotel as I feel like it has potential, but travelers should be aware of what to expect as it currently stands.||Pros:|-Nice budget price|-Very friendly staff|-Free breakfast|-A one minute walk away from the ferry terminal and within close walking distance of the A, B, C, and D tours’ boat pickup ||Cons:|-We were given one twin blanket spread sideways to cover a queen-sized bed. Upon request another twin blanket was provided, but it had a strange sticky/crusty feel. The next morning we saw the blankets hanging out to dry on the roof, so it was probably the effect of the salt air on the drying blanket. |-Rooms lack some basic amenities, such as in-room WiFi, a mini-fridge, shampoo or conditioner, etc.|-Bathrooms are TINY. Think “can’t even close the door on the toilet and can barely fit in the shower” tiny. Shower head holder was corroded through so you had to try and find the arm space to maneuver the handheld shower head without soaking the rest of the room. The bathroom window only has a curtain covering the bottom half, so if you are of average to tall height you can be seen from outside the hotel.|-Ants and mysterious insects were everywhere inside the room. On blankets, the ceiling, walls, etc. The bugs gave the room a dirty feeling and made it hard to sleep at night.|-The upgraded “ocean view balcony room” we paid for only overlooked a dirty, stagnant pool of water. The real ocean view was blocked by a tree.|-While sitting in the lobby (the only place to really use the WiFi), local vendors will continuously come in and heckle you to buy their wares. They are not easily declined and staff doesn’t ask them to leave. ||Most of these problems would be simple to solve with just a little extra investment. Simply spraying for insects and drying laundry inside would have a big effect on the guests’ perception of the rooms. The bathrooms need repaired (really, remodeled). All in all the location and the staff make it hard for me to be too harsh on the hotel, but it has some definite cons that owners and potential guests need to be...
Read moreThis is a decent place to stay. It is close to the beach where the boats for Island Hopping picks up their guests. It is also a walking distance to restaurants. Our booking also comes with a free breakfast but they don't have a restaurant which makes sense because there are a lot of restos outside. Our room is kinda small which is okay since we don't stay indoors that long. We always go outside and explore so we don't really mind. The cr is also small. If you're a person with bigger build, you might find it difficult to move around. Sometimes the water smells kinda off but not most of the time. They have cold and hot shower. The linens might need some fabric freshener but the beds are fine and comfy. They have a clothe's line in their rooftop where you can hang your wet clothes or swimsuit. The staffs are friendly, attentive and approachable. I think this inn would suffice if you're looking for place to sleep and wash up because most of the time you're out exploring the beaches in EL Nido and at night going out because of their...
Read moreThe location of the inn is near the port. Just 5mins walk, perfect especially for your island tours.
The rooms were clean, the one we booked has a balcony which has a view of the sea, banca and rock formations on your left. Though their bathroom is quite small. You can barely extend both of your arms. They also don't provide basic toiletries though, only towels.
We also experienced brownout for an hour when we stayed there, it's a plus that they have generator which will keep the lights and tv turned on, except for the airconditioning and hot shower.
Breakfast is served at the rooftop which you can have a full view of what's around. Coffee and tea is also available. You just need to chose from their menu your preferred breakfast at the reception a day before.
And btw, wifi is only available at the lobby and rooftop. Good thing is that our room is located at the 3rd floor which allowed us to have a little of the wifi signal coming from the rooftop.
Will definitely book here again when we get...
