I would describe this hotel as a complete “joke.” The lobby is huge and blindingly grand, giving you the impression that the services and interior would be just as impressive, but that’s far from the reality once you step inside.
First off, the bathroom is large, but the shower area is tiny and lacks a basic soap holder, which should be a standard feature in any bathroom with a shower. So, where are you supposed to place your soap? Step out of the shower area or search for any surface to put it on, maybe even the floor?
We were in room 504, which was supposed to be an upgraded room, but you’ll be shocked when you see the details. First, the bed linens were yellowish with visible stains (we had them changed before lying down). After a long day, you expect to rest in a clean, upgraded room, but that wasn’t the case. Second, we called the front desk to request slippers—something basic and standard in most hotels, even motels. They told us they didn’t have any, but when we went down to ask in person, they suddenly had them available. This alone is a red flag. Shouldn’t the staff be aware of what’s available? When we finally got the slippers, they were used beach flip-flops with visible foot marks—extremely unhygienic and gross!
Third, for the price of 6k per night for an “upgraded” room, what should you expect? Upgraded features, right? Well, not here. There was no refrigerator, not even a small one, and this is supposed to be a suite room!
Fourth, another basic issue—there was no remote control for the TV. Sure, the TV was big, but without a remote? We had to make two calls before they finally brought it.
Fifth, we made a request to the front desk at 8 a.m. to have the room cleaned while we were out for a tour. To our surprise, when we returned at 5 p.m., the room was exactly the same as when we left it. Despite paying 6k per night, the service was disappointing. We had to make two more calls before housekeeping showed up to clean the room.
For anyone thinking about booking here, don’t waste your money. The breakfast? Terrible. Home-cooked meals are better, and I’m sure your own cooking would taste better too, especially when compared to their eggs and the tough dilis. Their pancakes? Awful. This hotel has every flaw you can imagine, and I’ll never...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER Attention, scam! All the positive reviews you see are there because they buy them, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense. At the reception they give a small souvenir in exchange for a review. Oh my God, I don’t even know where to begin. So dirty and such low quality. Picture are following. When I arrived 20min to get my room already payed and booked by Agoda, arrive at the king suite, electricity worked only after technician arrived and gave me a second card, TV didn’t work until another gentle service guy bring me the right remote controller from another room, the floor was so so dirty that there was a toothbrush cover on the floor from another guest that means the attention to clean or not clean the floor, hairs everywhere even inside the drawers for bedside table, panoramic view? Yes sure but you have to watch through a glass full of stains and streaks, additionally they’ll charge you 1000pesos more at the check-in in case you stain or break something, too bad that when I get the room all blankets and pillows were already stained, really bad for a king suite costing over 6000 pesos per night, anyway once asked they bring me new blankets, anyway floor was dirty everywhere, the hall floor was oily, the gym had broken machine and stains everywhere of old sweat drops and smelly, ugly view and fake plastic plants on the swimming pool area, restaurant area smelly and oily floor, last two days I woke up with somebody looking at me from the balcony, yes there were people working on front my view, but the price was still for a panoramic view room, balcony door and room door can’t be close sealed leaving gap that a finger can pass through, ah and the bath tub has swapped hot/cold handles, tried to talk to the manager many times but of course manager was never in site when I want and he never show up to me after all the reclamations, so was not even possible to get a face to face confrontation after the expensive stay, really it was a mess, an...
Read moreUpon arrival, the lobby was bright and cool, while the staff was welcoming. The check-in almost went smoothly until they said they don’t take credit cards. It would not have been a problem because we prepaid but they wanted a Php 1000 deposit for incidentals.
ROOM - When we went up to our room, it appeared clean. It was on the smaller side but not cramped. All the basic amenities were available with a queen-size bed. It only had one nightstand. There was an open clothes rack with an integrated luggage rack instead of a closet. There was no safe to store our valuables. We had to request a refrigerator at an extra charge. However, as soon as you walked in; the room and bathroom smelled very moldy/musty, which I think, management was aware of since there were air fresheners all throughout (but it didn’t help). The musty smell was even stronger in the bathroom, but it also mixed with smell from the sewer/septic gas that was probably leaking from the drains. Even our bed sheets did not smell fresh. We kept the air conditioner running all the time to remove moisture in the room and bathroom. It helped reduce the smell a little. The bathroom smell was harder to remove. The smell problem is a common issue that the other people in our group reported (if not worst).
BTW – the cleaning staff do not automatically clean the room daily unless you tell them by putting the “Please clean my room” hangtag on the door.
BREAKFAST BUFFET – wasn’t too exciting as the offerings were limited. The scrambled eggs were overcooked to a point it was almost rubbery. The pancakes were plain awful. Coffee was very weak. We complained so it improved the next day but reverted back to being bland the following day. When we had time, we went to the coffee shop across the street instead.
It is too bad our stay was mainly ruined by our room experience. The staff tried hard and the location is convenient to the Town Center and boat tour...
