This isnt hostel, this is joke for hospitality and great example of ignorance. Do yourself a favour and find better place than this overpriced “shelter”.
Photos of the hostel on airbnb or on booking were clearly taken many years ago, when the hostel could be okey.
For the amount you will get very dirty rooms, holes in the ceiling and walls. On top of that there isn’t any service, starting with airport transfer, air condition or cleaning rooms etc, which they are offering in booking or Airbnb.
The hostel is located in a swampy region of Siargao so you have lot of things to do with mosquitoes. Next to the hostel is also construction, so you will hear construction workers from 5 am until afternoon and on top of that you will have also great experience with the farm next to the hostel where rooters are getting crazy.
On the backyard you will find all the stuff lying around, including a bin bag full of waste sitting on the kitchen counter and heavy smell of the mess in the kitchen.
The hostel isn’t ready for any guest, the owner is selfish ignorant who don’t have clearly any experiences with hospitality and he isn’t able to run the business.
If you are also looking forward to meet another people from different countries of the world, you won’t. You will have only a chance to get know owners parents.
We had amazing experiences over our trip in Philippines but this isn’t representing the kindness and services of Philippino people.
Clear robbery. Find another Hostel and don’t let them destroy your...
Read moreThis accommodation is big lie. Try to avoid this hostel. We had here the worst experience. The hostel is offering services which they are not providing.
The airport pickup, which was supposed to be included in the price, didn't even come for us. We have to light candles in the room, we don't have a fan, it's 400 degrees here, there's a generator roaring next to our room, so it's impossible to sleep here. There wasnt also cleaning service and AC. Not to mention that we can't even take a shower. Its great to be on vacation where you cant go to toilet.
The last thing is the general attitude of the staff. There isnt any proactivity to solve issues and they are like ghost.
In hostel you want to know another people, here was nobody, just us and parents of the owner.
I was also looking forward to preparing breakfast in the outdoor kitchen in the morning, unfortunately it looks like a dirty construction site, about the same as the entire hostel area (plus there is probably at least a highway being built behind it every night), so with the noise from the generator and the disco of the local builders, it's like wearing Lexaurin and earplugs at night, what a romance.
I hope you all will find another stay than here in...
Read moreThis is a disgusting hostel! Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. Any photos of the hostel on airbnb or on booking dot com were clearly taken many years ago, when the hostel may have been passable. Now, it is a building site with a few very dirty rooms tucked away to the side. We found stains and dirt everywhere, holes in the ceiling and walls, windows that wouldn't shut (which meant we were plagued by mosquitoes all night, partly also because the hostel sits in a swampy region), and when we finally did get to sleep we were woken at sunrise due to all the roosters next door. The communal area is also unusable due to all the stuff lying around, including a bin bag full of waste sitting on the...
