We had construction work 4 out of 5 days, which we were informed about on arrival - not beforehand. 7:30 to 16:30, 6 days a week with pressure equipment. The wifi in our Delux Room did not work. When asking staff, they first stalled, then admitted that there is no wifi in that building. The AC is an old model, very loud on any setting. Relaxing at the pool was not possible due to the construction noise. On Sunday, the one day without construction work, the blasted techno music at 8am at the poolbar loud enough to wake us in our rooms and when we wanted to jump in at 9:30 they started cleaning it and we where not allowed to use it. Suggestions to clean it later were not taken, the receptionist didn't care again.
Our complaints were overall ignored, and we felt not taken seriously as guests, they had our money, so we may as well have not reappeared. Worst service so far on Siargao.
Edit 1: We understand that problems can arise and you probably are as unhappy about the construction works in front of your business as we were. What made us angry and uncomfortable was the unwillingness to communicate issues ahead of time - we would not have booked this stay if we knew about the missing wifi and constructios. The lack of understanding of our situation and missing effort to find solutions or compensation from your staff, especially reception and the absence of management upon request. We were flat out told that "wifi in all rooms is not correct and we are fine lying on the platform." Until you change your work attitude, we will not be back and not recommend your hotel. By the way, other hotels do tell you about construction works before you book. Your service is really bad...
Read moreThe good thing about this hotel is that it is close to cloud 9 if you are going surfing.||Unfortunately there are a lot of things that are NOT good. ||- The beds are very hard and uncomfortable|- There was a rooster (!) 5 meters from our room making so much sound it was very difficult to sleep all the nights we were there. (I heard people screaming at it to make it shut up inn the middle of the night). |- You had to ask in the reception for more toiletpaper every time you needed a new one|- Some of the staff were not very helpful and they looked like they just wanted to finish work|- The «pool» they are advertising is just a big lie. Its a pond of dirty hot water with garbage floating around. |- Almost no water pressure in the shower|- No cleaning of the rooms unless you ask and no information about this. |- The airport pickup.. A guy half asleep with the wrong name on the sign. After 45 minutes in the sun asking around someone else came to us and told us who was our driver. (He were sitting less than 5 meters from us the entire time and didnt lift a finger). The hotel was not helpful in the situation. After we sat down in the car he let us know we had to wait for more people on the next flight. We...
Read moreWe've hardly experienced such a low quality service in the Philippines like we did here. The good things about this place (we had the AC-Room):|+ very spacious rooms|+ lots of storage space|+ across the road from Cloud 9, so perfect for surfing|-/+ badly maintained pool-table available at the restaurant (fluffy pancakes were good) |+ Joy, the girl who works at the restaurant and warrants an extra star for her personality and helpfulness||We still wouldn't come back. Why?|- Cleanliness of the rooms could be improved, we would have appreciated it if at least the bin in the bathroom would have been emptied daily (you throw the used toilet paper in there, after all). All linens and towels were stained.|- Location: it's a 15-minute Tricylce ride away from the town and there's not much to do around the hotel itself. Opt for something closer if you don't want to surf|- staff is sometimes outright rude, at the best of times impassive|- not even soap to wash your hands after toilet use. We've paid less in lots of places and had much more value for money|- pool isn't much of a pool, rather filthy and...
