Worst experience so far. As a first time client at The Avenue hotel, I expected more from this hotel coming from good reviews and hype in the internet about this place. However upon arriving in the afternoon, my partner asked politely the guard if they have smoking area but his response was just plain "none" or that he can smoke at his own risk outside the hotel. Upon checking in the room, the basic toiletries was not even complete and had to request it. The room set up was not even the same as the photo in their website. The hotel rooms hallway looks old and was not maintained properly. Then around 2 hrs after check in while we were trying to have some rest, we heard a loud repeated sound like someone was in a construction site. The sound came in the room just beside ours. It lasted for more than 30 mins. I had to call several times to make it stop. The next day we had our free breakfast, however much to our dismay we found ourselves in the Azzuro Restaurant which was the worst buffet breakfast experience to date. There were only like 3-4 dishes to choose from: Pasta which doesn't look enticing at all, Salmon fish, Steamed vegetables and scrambled egg. Their Salad lettuce and soup doesn't taste good. Their service attendants were not even accommodating like we used to have in other hotels. The restaurant set up itself is not commendable, with no music at all during our entire breakfast stay and one can observe there was not much effort in details to have a presentable breakfast area. . I know that maybe other clients had better experience but unfortunately I can say there is something lacking in your customer service, facilities and room. There was nothing special and memorable from our stay here except for those stated above. I hope that they will level up their marketing and the ones who handle the hotel operations to ensure ALL clients are satisfied with their experience. You have a good hotel website but it definitely did not deliver at all. Thank you

So many things wrong in this hotel in my first night. 1- Bad Front Desk Experience So I booked a room online with breakfast included for 4 nights. When I checked in the hotel, the front desk clerk said that breakfast was not included, so she asked me to show booking document, which I did, proving them wrong. 2- Bad Smell in The Room When we first entered the bedroom, we can smell the strong smell of paint or wood.It was unpleasant. 3- Broken Shower We had to call front desk because our shower was not working right. 2 Engineers had to come to our room to fix it. Thanks to them but we still had to wait. 4- Super Slow WI-FI I work online so having a fast WIFI is important. This is the biggest complaint I have. Their Wifi Is so slow that i had to move closer to the room's door just to get a signal but the connection keeps going on and off. It takes more than 2 minutes to load a page on Facebook and sometimes it fails to load on other sites. This is the first hotel in Makati where i experienced terrible WiFi Connection, and because of that I wanted to switch hotels and cancel booking for the rest of the nights, which leads to #5 5- They Don't Refund For Cancelled Bookings Because I was so frustrated, I called the front desk and asked to cancel the rest of my nights (4 more nights!) and the front desk clerk told me that they can't refund "guaranteed booking". I told them that they promised WIFI included in their room but I always keep disconnecting, and I can no longer stay in this hotel because my business depends on reliable WiFI, which they don't have obviously. The front desk clerk just said that they can't issue refund and that an IT guy will check in the morning if Internet is good. When I asked to speak to the manager regarding this concern, she said there was no one to talk to. Purely unacceptable. The worst hotel in Philippines I've ever booked in. It's a TRAP!

Review of A.Venue Hotel located at Brgy. Poblacion, Makati Avenue, Manila*** I would rate this condotel 5/5 even if I don't have enough photos. Lol. Yaaaaas! Perfect score. I really enjoyed my 5-day stay in A.Venue Hotel, from the staffs, function halls, accommodation, food, and other amenities. Also, 711 store, atm machine, and grocery store are just nearby, so you can grab your essentials anytime. 💗 Staffs Although they were a bit undermanned, specifically the front desk personnel, they were able to cater our needs earnestly. 💗 Function Halls Materials for trainings/seminars such as projector, wide screen and board were provided. The function hall is big enough to accommodate 50-70pax. 💗 Room/Accommodation Since this is a condotel, the setup makes you feel like home. Beds are comfy, too. Tho hope they can have thicker blankets. Hihi. 💗 Videoke Area (idk how should I call it, basta the one beside the swimming pool haha) Me and my batchmates were planning to go on a family KTV nearby but it rained so hard, so thanks to the videoke room in this area bec we really saved a lot, plus less hassle na lalabas pa. There's no fee for the venue, you just have to pay for the foods and drinks. Oh, try their nachos, super saraaaap! 💗 FOOD YA! I'LL HIGHLIGHT THE WORD "FOOD" BEC I LOVE THEIR FOOD SO MUCH. CREDITS TO THE CHEF/S. Since 2016, my personal choice for the best hotel buffet breakfast is that one hotel located in Ortigas, but after my stay in A.Venue, this hotel will be my best buffet breakfast as to date. Lol. Why? Because they have varities of food EVERYDAY. Walang umay, besh. Kudos to the chef/s in the kitchen and the lady in the egg station who cooks an extraordinary omelet. Lol. Oh, and before I forgot, thanks to the kuyas who served brewed coffee in the morning. Indeed, a thumbs up, A.venue Hotel! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I was a recent guest of your hotel. Actually i just checked out minutes ago for one night stay( Oct 27 - Oct 28). Unfortunately there was no evaluation form available at the time of check out thus this comment at your site.

Your hotel i should say is one of the nicest hotels i've been .Though not at par with 5- star hotel, the price i paid was worth it . At least for the room amenities.

But frankly speaking , my stay was not that pleasant for the following reasons; There was no WIFI available during my whole stay. Your staff said that your server is down and they're were trying to communicate your provider for them to do something about it but to no avail. You know very well it's one of the amenities a guest always looks for. The Air conditioning unit at the bedroom was not functioning well and making noise that did not cause us to sleep well. Considering that this stay should be a source of relaxation before returning back to our daily routine.

In fact i even took a half day leave at the office just to recharge over the week end.

And worse, i had this freak accident at the room we were staying. Upon rising from bed, i stepped on the wet floor causing me to slipped with the hotel step -in i was wearing hurting my right knee due to the water which i guess came from the AC Unit . This has led us to call the front desk for assistance. I can commend your staff for quick response since your concerned staff came over to check and immediately replaced the AC Unit in the room. Your hotel nurse also checked the condition of my knee and provided me with topical first aid material to somewhat ease the pain. ''Thanks God i did not bring any children with me coz if i did and they suffered the same accident, my reaction would be totally different. 4 Lastly, it took us almost half an hour waiting for an available elevator to take us from our hall way to the ground floor for checking out. Why conduct the cleaning of your elevators during hours of the day when there are a lot of guests going in and out of your hotel. This could have been done during hours where there is less movement of guests . Waiting for half an hour in a" hot" corridor in a 4-star hotel is just so disappointing.

I am sending you this mail not to ask for anything but to remind your responsibility to your guests while they are inside your premises. Please bear in mind they paid you with their hard earned money just to relax through your hotel and falling short of their expectations is a big SIN!!!

I am hoping the above matters would be addressed at the soonest and would help you improve your services to your guests.

From Ofelia A. Natividad Unit 607...

Just recently stayed there for 1 night (Jul. 28th, 2018) (3 adults (2 seniors) & almost 2yrs. Old baby) for my mom's b-day, and these are the ff. We have noticed: YAY: 😉😄👌 Our 2 BD suite at Antel tower Rm. 818 was very nice, it's complete with amenities (microwave, fridge, electric kettle, and plates, etc.) All 3 ACs are working fine & water too. The 2 pools (indoor/outdoor) both got lifeguards so that's nice NAY: 😤😫😪 We arrived late round 2:30pm cause it was raining that Sat. But we were only able to enter our room at 3:15pm (and that's by constant following up at the front desk). Their reason: the room was sooo messed up by the previous user, like lights at the bathroom needs to be replaced. I understand that but the check-in is 2pm so we expect room is at least already available by 2:30pm, we are even late check-in, and just imagine having a tantruming 2yrs old baby waiting at the lobby for 45mins. Then after finally providing our key card, I asked the lady at the front desk who got my deposit, if our breakfast consists of 3 or just 2, she checked it first & said its for 3, then comes breakfast the following morning - its just for 2. I dunno if she was just afraid I will finally go berserk & so to escape that time, she said its good for 3. Im not really that arte but I cant help but noticed, I was disturbed by the towels. Im not sure if they are just really dirty white haha! 😋 Also my baby & I woke up at around 10:30pm Sat. due to the sound of not sure if it was a concert or something, but it was really noisy. I know it would cost the hotel but if they can do something about getting the rooms "sound proof", cause I cant help but compare it to other hotels in Makati I browsed, some are sound proof & so now I know why they got it in Makati. The noise finally stop at around 12:30am though, so we were able to sleep again. ACs at the Azurro resto Sunday morning for breakfast was too hot, we were seated at the one w/ comfy chair near glass window, sight seeing the outdoor pool. When we checked out Sunday (Jul. 29th, 2018) around 12pm, there were 2 guards but none of them helped us open the door. All of us, my mom & dad (both seniors) got bags & I even have my baby so a lil chivalrous from them even only at that moment, would really be appreciated at that time.

  • P.S. these are just my feedback & Im hoping the hotel would take it constructively. Dont get me wrong we loved our stay & our room & given a chance, we would still come back. What really just disappointed me most was the 45mins. waiting part on our check-in, but still kudos for being a family...

Before Stay:

I've been trying to call the hotel at least a week before my stay, but no one is answering the phone/front desk.

Upon Arrival: The guard noticed that I have lots of baggage but he did not assist me.

I specifically requested that my room be ready @10:00 AM, since I'm scheduled to arrive @8:00 AM. Upon Arrival, the Front Desk told me that it will be ready @2:00 PM. 2:15PM came back to Front Desk, but the Front Desk did not accommodate me immediately, she assisted the visitor right behind me. On top of that my room was not ready yet. I was able to check-in an hour late around 3:30 PM. Upon Checking-In, I ordered food from outside. When my food arrived the guard did not let the delivery man inside. I told the guard that I can't carry everything I've ordered at once, hence I'd be requesting an assistance from the delivery man, which the guard further refused to let him in. When I requested the guard for help, he also refused. Worst of that, this practice was racist to Filipinos, since I've seen Chinese Nationals where their food deliverer were allowed to assist these Chinese people to bring their food to their accommodation. Why is there a bias on Foreigners having better accommodations as compared Filipinos, we are of the same race.

During Stay: NO INTERNET CONNECTION. YOUR TRAFFIC IS GREATER THAN YOUR BANDWIDTH. PLEASE CONSIDER IMPROVING YOUR BANDWIDTH. I WASN'T ABLE TO USE THE INTERNET DURING MY STAY.

I was ordering room service but the line to the restaurant is either busy or nobody is answering. I have to go down to order my food. Also, The Food I've ordered from your restaurant arrived an hour late.

Second day of stay, it seems that room was not properly cleaned by housekeeping since there tiny bugs in the bathroom. Please conduct regular pesticide. Also, they forgot to provide me with bath towels, I have to specifically request the housekeeper.

This is is very disappointing, I should've stayed in a cheaper hotel with better service.

ALL IN ALL, PLEASE INVEST IN YOUR IT (NETWORK)...
