I have owned several clubs myself and also DJ'd around the world a few years ago. Visited this Royal 3 times over two weeks whilst in Makati on business recently (from Australia). I was treated with respect at all times from the door to reception & by the bouncers - thankyou (who are commonly called 'security' in most other countries). At times I was pushed by the waiters rushing through with their flaming drinks etc. and then told to stand here and then stand there etc...until I told one of them there was no more standing room where they were pushing me to go & they backed off. Also they shouId not be pushing ladies from walkways, as its more polite to ask them to move on. I had a couple of Sam Miguel Lites so cannot judge the quality of their mixed drinks & I didn't eat. Music was maybe 10% too loud making talking virtually impossible Definitely needs a bigger dance floor cos this is what people in clubs like to do - dance! Dress code = should be enforced no shorts or sloppy Tees etc.. All the ladies dress nice and men need to understand they should too. Now for the good stuff: Club has a good atmosphere with private booths on both levels, great lighting, great music, mixed crowd from 18yo to 50 plus and everyone enjoying themselves with no crowd aggression at all (yes there are ladies of the night) and one lovely even offered her services to me for 6000pesos for a couple of hrs, but there are also many others just having a good night out. Robot laser man on stilts comes out @ 1am and he is great value. Bouncers & their torches could possibly relaxxx a little cos it can make the place feel a little too serious (but on the other hand it also feels safe). After my first visit, the bouncers seemed to like me, high fiveing me and placing their hands on their hearts, perhaps cos I like to dress well and be polite. I tried the other clubs in BGC and Makati in general but Royal would be the choice for me when I visit again and also for any function/party I...

Stopped by here in December 2023. Horrible experience and dumb layout. The security guards there are just plain ridiculous, they are way way way over zealous. It’s like they are trying to intimidate people there (but doesn’t work on me). It’s like they are trying to look for anything to cause some type of scene. Way too many security guards and majority of them seemed like they couldn’t wait to find an opportunity to get physical/confrontational. If they were to act the way they act in my country (USA), they would definitely get confronted with hostility. And for the layout, they have fixed tables all over the dance floor, they don’t even remove them so other people can mingle with others. You can only dance in your standing position at your table. It’s like each group are meant to be segregated to one another. I will never step my foot in that place again. They also tried to push bottle service upon entering and for a sec, made it seem like we can’t go inside unless we get bottle service. Uhhh I just want to get a drink and check the place out and if I like it, maybe I’ll get bottle service or buy more drinks. You guys...
