Been wanting to try Yangbutong for a while and we're so glad we spent Easter brunner here!
Service: Inpeccable service from the staff esp. Molly. Very attentive, sincere and courteous. They guided us from the time we called to the tine we parked & got settled. They even gave us free ponytails and the banchan/free side dishes and dips were all amazing. Ordering is from a tablet so it was v efficient and orders got served v fast. Their system is very efficient, simple, organized, ans effective.
Food & Quality: food was so tasty. All skewered meats and veggies we ordered were great, even the beef sashimi! We enjoyed the mains ans appetizers equally, and our beers were served at the perfect, cold temp. Veggies were crunchy and fresh, dips were good, ans everything was fresh. Wish they had Wusu beer and tofu skin appetizers though!
Cleanliness and ambience: definitely a notch higher than most Chinese restos. Everything was organized and clean! Impressed by the standards and consistency.
Overall, 10/10 will recommend and we will def be back to try the...
Read moreThe problem with korean bbq is that all the meat tastes the same as the seasoning is largely the same. So, it's hard to differentiate and provide a quality review on individual meats. There is very little meat provided on the skewers, which is disappointing. The seasoning is limited to bbq, chilli, and sesame, all of which are dry powders that stick to the meat.
The sides were limited to beans, carrots, celery, and radishes. It was pretty basic. In most Korean places, you would get 6 or more sides. So it's somewhat lacking here.
We were very happy with our mango/peach drinks.
We had 10 skewers between 2 people, and we were hungry still afters.. So probably 10 skewers per person would be a good figure.
I enjoyed the squid balls and the fried rice.
The service was hectic but reasonably attentive. We had to ask for our chicken feet 3 times.
The atmosphere is bright, smoke-free due to an excellent extractor setup, and the cubicles are good enough that you have a sense of privacy dining.

Read moreYum Yum BBQ Makati was a fun and unique experience. It was my first time trying a self-rotating grill, which made dining really interesting. We made a reservation in advance which was a good decision since the place gets quite packed even on weekdays.
The restaurant felt authentic, with many Chinese and Korean diners during our visit. You order via tablet, which can be a bit confusing since the menu is in Chinese, but the food photos help. The skewers were tasty and the lamb skewers came pre-grilled from the kitchen. The refillable side dishes were a nice touch.
Our server was attentive and cheerful, which added to the good experience. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and variety. My only comment is that the floor was quite slippery during our visit, so hopefully they can improve that.
Parking can be difficult. We parked at Century Mall and walked a 7-minute distance. Overall, a good and enjoyable dining experience...
