In a word: Filthy. The only upside of staying here is the fantastic location. As for price, you get what you pay for. The hotel overall is outdated with a smell that matches. The room was okay. It has a nice size and layout, but the bathroom doors were awkward as there were two perpendicular glass sliding doors that meet at one corner. Unfortunately, our doors didn't meet all the way and there was a 2-inch opening with the doors closed as much as possible. The ceiling of the shower is also awkwardly short. I'm not a tall person but I was feeling a bit nervous that I might hit my head. 5'7" and taller, I feel bad for your neck. The worse part are all the exposed mold and mildew around the room and bathroom particularly around the AC unit and sink area. The walls are also stained and there were dead roaches in one is the drawers. Nitpicking, there are buttons near the room door where you can specify to "Do not disturb" and room cleaning services and that would illuminate on the outside of the room. Ours didn't work (which, again, shows how much the hotel is due for renovations), but a door hanger was provided. Also nitpicking, out of the 5 or so hotels I've stayed at during my vacation, some cheaper than this hotel, all the hotels except The E-Hotel Makati provided complimentary water. They charge 45P for a complimentary-sized bottle. Seriously, if you're tempted by the price, if may be worth your while to spend a little more elsewhere.
Worth mentioning, our low price room didn't include breakfast and if desired, that would be an...
Read moreThe hotel looks nice in pictures but does no justice. From the lobby it looks fine, once you step into the elevator it feels like you went back in time. Old looking and very green wallpaper are falling apart. Entering the room there is a smell, either old pools of water from collected from the drain or mold. The ceiling has brown stains from a leak from before. The TV doesnt work too well. And lastly the fridge also had an aroma and when I opened up the freezer there was frozen liquid covered in ice on the bottom where you hold your food.
Thinking room service would be good, I'd thought that the food would be delicious because, pictures of the dishes looked nice. The menu is big roughly around 30 plus items to choose from. Once I called 98 percent of the menu were unavailable.
Luckily we were able to order from grab or food panda and they would deliver it right to the hotel.
We tried transferring hotels but the hotel wouldn't allow us to due to the fact that we ordered from an agency. But it was our credit card, so I don't understand why we were not allowed to. So we stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.
We quarantined at the hotel for 3 daya but on our first night we already had the results. So I wouldn't think transferring hotels would have...
Read moreIt is just a short walk to Greenbelt and the room was spacious. Now the disappointing details....The room has 2 queen beds so you would assume a number of people could stay there. There is a kettle provided but only one coffee cup and no tea or coffee. Only one drinking glass in the room and there was no drinking water provided. I did complain and these things were rectified. I took a shower and the entire bathroom floor flooded. Water pours out along the bath tub. I had housekeeeping come up and they cleaned up. I was told all the rooms were the same and guests always complain about it. Management is aware. There is no safe in the room. The WIFI signal was poor and did not improve despite them resetting routers. The TV reception was terrible....see photo. They could not fix it and said they would have to contact the service provider. I was there two days and it never changed. The window was not fully closed and I was getting a bit of street noise. I could not close the window because the handles were broken off. There was a light switch cover missing. I went out during the day and got back at 3 PM. They still had not cleaned the room. I had to ask them to do it. The staff are very nice and friendly but this place is poorly managed. I would not stay...
