Horrible experience. Doesn't live up to the hype.
It was drizzling. I decided to go ahead to get a table while my senior parents followed with my siblings. The restaurant wasn't busy when I arrived. I was standing on the restaurant proper just under the edge of the roof. Considering the type of establishment, I decided to wait until I was shown a table rather than storming in and just sitting at any table. I just stood there. Two servers saw me. I raised my hand, and I was ignored. When the rest of my family arrived, still no one approached us. My brother had to walk to the front desk of the hotel. The person said to sit "kahit saan/anywhere". So we went to go further in. Finally one of the waiters gestured to a table of four. We are five. All the free tables were square tables that seat 4. There were two empty tables still with plates and dishes. No one was making a move to clear those tables. It was only when Gerry, an employee, showed up that there was a sense of urgency to clear the bigger table, greet us, and give us menus.
The start of the evening was utterly horrible. I wanted to leave, but decided to stay as I didn't want my parents to walk any further.
We wanted a light dinner. We only ordered two dishes, 4 cheese pizza and gambasetti pasta.
The four cheese pasta had 2 chunks of blue cheese, a ton of mozzarella. I suppose the chunk per slice was either parmesan or cheddar. The chunk was unidentifiable - a soft slightly sweet cheese, neither the flavor profile of cheddar or parmesan. What a disappointment.
The gambasetti was full of flavor. But what flavor? Not paprika. It was salty and garlicky. The salty taste was reminiscent of maggi savor liquid seasoning. The dish tasted asian. I preferred the pasta to the pizza, but it was not what I expected.
We couldn't finish the pizza. Asked for it to be wrapped up. The forgot about. After settling the bill, we had to remind them of the pizza 10 minutes later.
Horrible food. Horrible service. Electric fans are great! You won't feel hot inside. Gerry was welcoming, but the rest of the staff...
Read moreI thought Two Seasons was an absolute joy! The workers were very enthusiastic and show pride in what they do along with helping people. One worker in particular who goes by the name “Rene” was so sweet and compassionate towards us when it came to dinner time and breakfast time, always accompanying us with our needs! In breakfast there is numerous choices along with the delicious foods for lunch/dinner. The resort itself is located in which the beach is right behind; letting you get a good glimpse of the high and low tides of the water, the different multiple water sports and the horizon where the sun rises and sets.
The rooms were wide and spacious, cleaned and the AC’s were a breeze! Slight minus points are that of sandy floors, the power going out randomly sometimes, and weird “ledges” that could cause a sprained ankle if not paying attention when heading to the bathroom and into the room itself.
They do have a pool which is quite shallow, but comfortable for those with children, or for a quick dip! Not necessarily accessible to those with disabilities, but you can take quite the walk around to walk to a slope that slowly but surely enters into the pool, again- watch your step as there is an awkward ledge that can sprain your ankle if not careful enough IN the pool.
For activities, it does take about 5-10 minutes by transportation to see the markets, restaurants and clubs, but the breeze is perfect!
Tip of advice: Do be aware of scams, especially foreigners on the beach when it comes to paddle boarding! The time I am writing this review, renting a paddle board should be approximately 300-600 PHP an hour (approximately $6-12 dollars), one of them tried to get me to paddle board for 1,000 PHP (approximately $18 dollars) for 30 minutes! They don’t necessarily have a flat rate, but keep it mind it shouldn’t...
Read moreAwesome experience at this hotel. Located in station 1. VIP service all the way. We stayed here for 2 nights. As soon as we got to the hotel, they carried all our luggage inside. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We got there around 12pm but check in wasn't until 2pm. Our room wasn't ready which is perfectly fine. We had lunch at their Bar Lo restaurant situated right in front of the beautiful Boracay beach. They served us welcome drinks(delicious mango shake!) Our room had a patio with lounge chairs but didn't have much of a view since hotels in the area are right next to each other. Room was a bit small but bed was comfortable. Bathroom could use a little updating. Water wasn't draining fast enough in the shower but no biggie. They cleaned our room daily and changed our towels and gave free drinking water(not bottled however.) Room service was great! Breakfast buffet canxt be beat. Lot of options from traditional Filipino to pancajes and pastas to vegetarian.. they have it covered. Beachfront lounge chairs for guests only and they have security to make sure your items don't get stolen and you can enjoy the beach. They also provide beach towels and a wash off area. If you come to this hotel, make sure to set up the transportation to and from the hotel. Just provide your flight details and they'll take care of the rest. So convenient! The only con I have for this place aside from the bathroom is the pool. I'm not sure if it's for public use. It's situated awkwardly next to some guest rooms. If the guest room blinds are open, you can see through. There are also not enough lounge chairs but the beach is there to enjoy anyway. All in all, I highly recommend this place! Great price for it being in station 1 plus amazing...
