I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wendy's Apartelle during a dragon boat race trip to Boracay with my team, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations.
Our three-night stay in a room designed for 15 persons was incredibly comfortable. Despite being packed with teammates, the space was well-utilized, with two CR, aircon units ensuring everyone stayed cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The absence of windows didn't detract from the experience; instead, it created a cozy ambiance perfect for rest and relaxation after a day of intense competition.
One feature that stood out was the ingenious clothes-hanging area at the back of the aircon unit, which made drying our gear a breeze. Additionally, the consistent water pressure in the showers was a welcome surprise, ensuring refreshing showers for all.
Although cellphone signal was unavailable inside the room, it only added to the peaceful atmosphere, allowing us to disconnect and truly bond as a team. And while the wifi was limited to the lobby area, it encouraged us to mingle and share stories with fellow guests.
The owner's warmth and hospitality were evident from the moment we arrived. Not only did they provide a generous discount for our group, but they also went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay.
Adjacent to the apartelle, the onsite restaurant offered delicious breakfasts and dinners at affordable prices, saving us the hassle of finding dining options elsewhere. Plus, the provision of towels and blankets added an extra layer of convenience to our stay.
Overall, Wendy's Apartelle provided the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality, making our dragon boat race trip to Boracay truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return for our...
Read moreLocation: At station 3 and a bit far from the beach. You'd have to walk a bit and may not be ideal if you're alone or if you're more into Station 2's night life or something. A lot of locals come by the place to eat and drink (til morning even) because they have an actual cafeteria (carenderia). Expect a bit of noise.||||Room: The place is kind of old and dilapidated. We were kind of a big group so we had to stay in one of their bigger rooms. They had lockers in the room but as lockers, they were useless. There were no towels provided. Sheets weren't exactly the cleanest either. But to be honest, all the negatives were to be expected for the price we each paid for 2 nights at this place.||||Staff/Service: They were patient enough to always accompany us to our room every time one or a few of us somehow ended up coming back to the room without a key.||||Overall: The place is cheap and they have a cafeteria that actually served cheap food we could eat. We managed to save a lot and this is the only reason I'm giving this an...
Read moreThis hostel (I use the term loosely) was possibly the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The room was okay however the staff were most uncooperative. We asked for the wifi password several times and were refused. When I waited at reception to be served to pay the bill, there were about a dozen people sitting around doing nothing and after about 5 minutes, one of them finally got up and reluctantly spoke to me. He was of no help at all and still did not surrender the wifi password. Rooms okay but if you want wifi then don't even think about it. ||Wendy was nowhere to be seen. ||My roommate heard them chopping...
