Aloha Boracay Island Grill — Restaurant in Malay

MUST VISIT if you are in Boracay!! They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as karaoke outdoors. We choose to sit inside, it was wonderfully air conditioned, clean, modern designs and the service was fantastic. Prices are extremely reasonable, and I would actually say cheap for the portion and quality as well. The portions are large enough for 2 people to share even.

For dinner we both had a fresh pineapple juice - which was blended , refreshing, and the best pineapple juice I’ve had on the island! Sweet, slightly tart and acidic just like biting into a juicy ripe pineapple!

For food, my boyfriend had the trio burger - large sliders of their most popular burgers (peanut butter, teriyaki, and mushroom) he really enjoyed his.

I had the combo plate with the crispy pork and garlic shrimp. It comes with two sides and I choose garlic rice and veggies. This dish exceeded my expectations! The shrimp was large, juicy, beautifully seasoned - probably the best I’ve had while in the Phillippines the last two weeks. The pork belly was a tad dry and fried a bit more than I would have preferred but still great nonetheless. Garlic rice was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were very fresh, flavorful and not mushy. It Was great to break up the meat and carb. Even the slaw was delicious!!

The server (who I think was the owner) was very very kind! He checked on us a couple times, and let us know food was going to take about 20 min to cook - it took less time than that tho.. everything came out hot, fresh, and just great! Being from Seattle, Washington... I have high expectations for food and it’s not that easy to find something great while in the Phillippines- the food and service here was wonderful. The restaurant seems to be still new so not many people are there during dinner, so go while you still can!! This place is going to get packed once more people...

Part of the Aloha Boracay hotel, the Aloha Boracay Island Grill is a great place to come spend the night for dinner. There is a live acoustic group that play during the evening . I ordered the local special , beer battered fish fillet with rice and coleslaw with a mac and cheese add on, also the Peanut butter burger . The fish and coleslaw was fresh and crispy .The Fish also came with a tasty sauce . The burger was a bit different than what I am used to back home in North America but was good nonetheless. The photos are what drew us here. The selection was small, but good. The mango ceviche was excellent. Everyone in our group seemed to like their meal.

The service was very nice but also a little slow. They brought out appetizers with the main meal (even though we specifically asked to have them out first) and didn't tell us that some of the drinks we ordered were not available until 15-20 minutes after we ordered. It was pretty empty when we were there so to me, that shows lack of attention to detail or customer service.
