Fantastic Baka - SM City North Towers — Restaurant in Quezon City

It was our first time in this place. Food was on the average and not worth the price. The "Fantastic Baka" was contrary to the quality of their beef considering we had to pay an additional Php 100.00 at the top of the Php 599.00 (Pork and Chicken selections). The said additional Php 100.00 was for the beef selections, calamari and tempura (seafoods were added as new to their menu) to be included. Adding payment to enjoy beef is highly contradicting for its namesake; bad marketing/promotion I guess. The tempura was promising and that made us really want to try this place for the first time but when we asked for the second serving of our calamari and tempura we were told to wait for 5 minutes for their preparation time and we cheerfully obliged but to our disappointment 30 minutes passed and nothing came, we decided to just enjoy the night for our friend's birthday (no birthday promo,she paid full by the way). For me, the Php 599.00 would be fair enough just having the pork and chicken on their menu. Just avoid the skirt and jowl from the pork and yeah I don't recommend the beef (bad cause it's chewy even thinly sliced) + seafood. Side dishes were average. Drinks (Pineapple Juice, Milk Tea and Red Tea[?]) were free but tastes bland. Not even sure if it was Red Tea since it was just colorful but flavourless. No faucet/washbasin available to wash our hands before and after eating other than from the Comfort Room,which was under maintenance during our visit. It was dinner time and most of the restaurants already had long lines when we came across this Korean BBQ place that had fewer people at first but quickly got busy after a while. Their branch at SM North Tower looked neat and spacious so we decided to give it a try. The staff greeted us right away, explained their promo sets and mentioned what wasn’t available including lettuce which is kind of a must when eating samgyup. We decided to go for their upgraded set which included unlimited meats of all types, drinks, basic and premium side dishes and seafood. As soon as we were seated, a staff member efficiently set up our table, served the first round of meats and side dishes and even asked if we wanted to change anything they brought out. Their service truly lived up to their brand name. The staff were attentive, proactive and quick to replace our grill whenever needed. The food was decent. The meat portions were generous and of better quality compared to other unlimited samgyup places I’ve tried. The side dishes were a hit or miss. I enjoyed their kimchi and dipping sauces but the fried side dishes were quite greasy. They offered three kinds of drinks, Red Iced Tea (a bit too sweet for my taste), Pineapple Juice (refreshing and decent) and Milk Tea (which I didn’t get to try). 🌸Food - This Korean-BBQ restau is a bit unique considering that they are offering unlimited drinks at the same time. They have 12 side dishes + 13 meats + unlimited drinks for 600 which is not bad. Our bill came around 1,300php+ including VAT. We haven't even maximized our stay because we're already full. But maximum is 2hours. There's an additional fee if you would like to get/have the one with beef but 499 is not bad because you already have 10 meats to choose from. I really like the Jowl and seasoned plate. Their seasoned bulgogi a bit much for me but still taste good. Their blue lemonade taste good and their milktea is not bad as well.

💮Staff/service - service is fast and the crews were really attentive. They were accommodating and they will initiate in giving what you need or what they see that they need to do. They are also a lot which makes it good, considering that they are giving service for quite a number of customers.

🌸Place - it's good that they have seats outside, people may wait here before it's their turn. Quite big but very slippery (so please be careful). There are 3 tvs inside. It good that they have their own comfort room (with bidet!!! Lol!) Take note that their comfort room is clean and big which is a plus for me.
