I decided to celebrate my birthday at Samgyupsalamat, and since this was the nearest branch, we chose to go here. We arrived at around 12:30 PM and were seated shortly after. The first batch of our orders arrived quickly, but the second batch was where we encountered issues. Note that we only ordered three items: beef enoki, plain beef, and steamed egg. Five minutes passed, and our orders still hadn't arrived. Another five minutes went by, and still nothing. We waited a few more minutes before following up. The crew informed us that they had run out of enoki mushrooms, so we had essentially waited for nothing. I replaced the order with beef bulgogi instead.
As I observed the area, I noticed other tables receiving their orders promptly. I saw some foreigners at another table receiving exceptional service, which made me wonder if the staff was selective about who they chose to serve. It was challenging to get the attention of the service crew, as they were all facing the kitchen, giving the impression that they didn't want to serve us. When we finally received our meat, we had already lost our appetite. That was our last order, and we didn't go for another round.
What really upset me was the way the staff served our steamed egg with a noticeable attitude, as if they were annoyed. My boyfriend and I exchanged a glance and shrugged it off, but we were indeed upset. Did the crew apologize? No, the staff member simply placed the steamed egg on our table with a bit of a slam, as if it might fall. I'm not the type of person who makes a scene just because an order is delayed. Having worked in customer service before, I understand the frustration and burnout that comes with the job, so I try not to make things difficult for service crews.
However, my friend, who works as a customer service representative, suggested that I speak with a manager, but that's not my style. Instead, I'll express my dissatisfaction through Google reviews. I'm giving this branch a rating of 1 out of 5. The food is excellent, which earns them 1 point, and the other crew members who didn't give us attitude.
Will I give this branch another chance? Maybe. But next time, I'll bring my friend along in case the service is just as...
Read moreHi! My friend and I dined yesterday at around 6pm at your branch in cubao. That wasnt my first time there, as a matter of fact I've been in multiple samgyupsalamat branches as it's one of my favorite restos. But, my experience there yesterday was TERRIBLE , I myself couldn't believed, I'll ever experienced that especially at samgyupsalamat. It was Sunday and I knew we needed to wait for our turn as there were people who came there first,so soon as we arrived I approached the security who was pretty much the one assigned to manage customers outside, I said for 2 so he then wrote something on his book. Therefore, I thought we're done and ready to wait coz he also said we may just sit down first. And we are at number 7, so we did. After a minute or so, someone from inside (one of your crew) called out someone from the queue as the can now get in, to my surprised, they were called by their names and I was like the guard did not even ask my name so how can he possibly know it's our turn. I approached him and asked if he needed my name coz he told me that we are at number 7. And he was like he didn't know what I was talking about and advised to wait and be seated. I looked on his book and my name wasn't there so I asked which number are we? Only then he asked my name and put in on he buttom of the list. I was worried because there were many people who came after us and so putting my name on the buttom would be so unreasonable. My friend came to help me out to explain but the security kept on asking us to go back and wait I then went inside and approached the crew and the girl who manages the cctv. Sha was able to determine which spot we should been listed on, but the thought of " what if I just waited as we were instructed" still hunts me.
You see, I also worked in customer service field for as long as I can remember. Therfore, I am well-aware how crucial it is to manage the queue. Not only that it makes the process fair for all but also one of the key measures how good...
Read moreI have a lot to say about my experience dining here in this place and its either disappointing or humiliating and its up to you if you still dare to try. Not recommended to anyone unless youre that desperate enough to eat and nowhere to find these restaurants. Go to Romantic Baboy instead and I promise you it was better. Here's my experience with their f and s: Food: 1/5 Service: 2/5 (100% Tested)
About my humiliating experience: I was going to meet my friends in this place and i decided to sit with them since they are eating their dinner and then I try "a one piece of meat" since I'm not that hungry and I already had my dinner. And then when we asked for a reciept they added me as a plus one which I had to pay 499 for that one piece of meat that I didnt like. And then I asked why I should pay because I ate that one piece of their not so good meat which I implied to them clearly and so I asked them that I would pay that "one piece of meat " but instead they still push me to pay for the whole.
When my peer pressure comes in they decided to ate more and join me and tried everything in the menu and so I can judged it now. All of their meats pork and beef are the same even the flavored ones and it fall flat.
In my defense, there was NO RULE about when you ate "a one piece of not so good meat" you have to pay for the whole price but still they charged us the whole price.
I can promise you this place is NOT WORTH...
