This hotel should have never been given 4 stars. The AC does not work. The standard room is really small. We were upgraded to a bigger room due to our AC not working, but then it did not work in the other room either. In the end, we were given a fan to keep us cool... We had such a poor sleep due to the noise the fan was making all night, plus we had to keep our window open, so random shouting of drunk people kept on waking us up. The temperatures during the day were around 30 degrees, and one of the staff members told us that the AC couldn't keep up... I have not experienced this before. We received 2 complimentary drinks at the bar, but by the time we were able to cool down, we were absolutely exhausted and did not use these.
The staff team was mostly helpful and apologetic about the situation. However, one staff member- Weronika, showed quite a poor attitude and kept on trying to gaslight us into believing that the AC was working when it clearly was not. Her responses were often short and arrogant. I am sure this is not the representation the hotel would like.
Most of the things are being controlled by a tablet in the room, including the main light. The tablet does not switch off, so you can see it all night. There is a camera on the tablet as well. I'm not sure how safe this is.
We did not purchase breakfast at the hotel as there are plenty of interesting places to eat around and much cheaper than the price at the hotel.
We will not be staying in PURO again. If you are heading there in the summer, good luck to you!
The positives are the location of the hotel...
Read moreIt was a family holiday, 2 adults with 2 kids 1.5 and 3years old. We were advised by booking dot com to book 2 rooms for our family, so we did. To our surprise rooms were on different floors and one was small hence useless in our case. Hotel staff with a smile on their face explained there were no rooms available next to each other or even on the same floor. Besides even those 2 rooms were not available on time at 3 pm. We decided to squeeze our family into one bigger room. The next day after we left the hotel, we received an email asking us to rate our stay and rate it poorly. Later hotel staff contacted us being polite and apologetic offering compensation for a small room which we did not use, and we did accept a refund for a small room. To our surprise soon after we received another email from hotel staff suggesting that we had lied, and the room was available next to each other, but we did not want to wait for it – which was complete nonsense because according to the same stuff it was not available on Saturday 3 pm. I was using this hotel many times there were issues, but I had never complained, e.g., on two occasions there was a fire alarm and we had to get out of our beds late. The cause of the fire alarm was the hotel kitchen staff. I almost missed my early flight at 5 am because of that event.
It was too much accusing me of lies hence it was my last stay at this poorly managed hotel with very bad...
Read moreThis is a nice hotel, conveniently located near the city square. The rooms are nicely furnished (modern) and clean, although they could have a slightly bigger mini fridge and a better wardrobe area. There is free wifi, air conditioning, and activities in the lobby several times a week. Underground parking is available, but it is on a (daily) first come - first serve basis, so becomes bit annoying trying to get a spot every day if you are staying for extended periods of time. The in-house restaurant is good and fairly reasonably priced for lunch/dinner. Room service is the same menu and price, though you must pay in cash for this. Breakfast is a buffet with good food, but IMHO overpriced (it is more expensive than most of the lunch/dinner options at 67PLZ). Weekends tend to have parties hosted in the courtyard with music thumping until 0300 or so. If this will bother you, I would highly recommend getting a room on the exterior of the building. There are no washers/dryers available, but they do have a laundry service that you pay for per item. There is a small in-house 'gym' and sauna. I am rating them down a star due to the parking and music issues that I...
