Arco Iris — Restaurant in Coimbra

One important information not displayed anywhere is that this place don't accept "ANY" international card. ONLY ACCEPTED PORTUGUESE CARDS" what causes us "Tourists" a little bit of trouble because we "DON'T HAVE PORTUGUESE CARDS".

So, about the food it is great, but there are other places around town more modern than this one. I can recommend the Pastelaria Visconde and Cafe Central , 2 great places in Coimbra that accepts cards.

I like this place! Whenever we visit Coimbra - our first tea/coffee break is always here! They have a good selection of delicious cream/fruit cakes and there's lots of space (including an upstairs gallery). Its a busy place mind you - but the staff do a good job tending to everyone. Lunches are also good - fast and to the point. Basically, this is the sort of place that's hard to find in Lisbon - a no-nonsense pastelaria with a superb choice of desserts backed up by fast service. Looking forward to our next...

Good Portuguese bakery. They have ham & cheese omelette sold by weight. A rare find in Portugal for those who miss eggs for breakfast. Service is courteous. Had breakfast here several times while in Coimbra. Minus one star because they do not accept international credit cards....
