We booked Deluxe apartment, which is 50 m2 in comparison to Standard, which is 30 m2. And we had a self check-in because we were supposed to arrive at night. When we did, we noticed that the room was way smaller and looked differently as in the pictures, so we assumed that was Standard. Next morning we sent a message to the My Choice team to inform about the mistake (there were no reception in the building and we did not know where we could find the receptionists). But we did not receive any reply for 2 days. I would like to note that before arrival we received replies from them withing 24 hours but sometimes in a couple of hours so it was a surprised that nobody contacted us back after 2 days.|Next day we accidentally faced one of the receptionists in the building as she was meeting another guest. We told her about the happening and showed our booking so she confirmed that we were in the wrong room. She said that she would check what had happened and would come back to us but she did not. Next day we gave them a call but that time she sounded annoyed. She said she was busy and she would call us back by the end of the day but, again, she did not. Next day we sent them another email that, in addition to living in the wrong room, we were being ignored. Next day another person called us and said they did not know what happened. We did not care about the mistake anymore because that night we would already leave. We asked what compensation they would give to us and they offered 15% discount for the next stay in Faro or in another very small city, and that voucher would be valid till the end of the year. We said that that offer is not fair for us because we are not planning to come there again by the end of the year and we would like to receive the compensation of what we had paid extra for Deluxe apartment. That lady said that she would talk to her manager and come back to us but after sending her 2 reminders she still did not.||I would definitely not recommend this place because no one is secured from mistakes but if it does happen, there is no client-oriented service, and they are not willing to resolve it.||In relation to the apartment, we stayed in, it was average. All the famous places in walking distance and if you looking for adventure you can get boat taxi 15 min walk away, the riverside is 15 min away too. The room was huge, me and my sister stayed for 6 days in Faro and if we needed anything then the landlady was really helpful, even when the storm was coming she sent us message just to make sure if there is any issues to contact her. She also gave us taxi driver number as we needed taxi at 4 am in morning as our flight back to Bristol was really early. The apartment had absolutely everything you need, all the kitchen staff, pans, pots, glasses, plates, iron, iron board etc. You even have beach towels which I thought was very thoughtful. The apartment had nice little cooking area, microwave and coffee machine. The shower room was well designed and we had some shower gel and shampoo included. The view from the room is pretty depressing - face to face to the other building. There is a construction side right in front of the hotel, about which we weren't informed. The late check out option which we inquired during check in sounded good possible. However one hour before the check out we were informed that it’s not possible.
