Hola Lisbon Suites — Hotel in Lisbon

We had a big problem with noise during our stay here. Not only was there building work going on inside the rest of the building but the noise of people walking around upstairs is also unusually disruptive (I could even hear a zip being closed at one point) and this really disturbed us. You can also hear everything from the shared kitchen which also makes it feel like you have no privacy in your own room. The hosts provided a pair of earplugs, but these do not really help as there is so much noise from a variety of sources at all times of the day/evening.

Location for access to tourist sites is very good and the room was large and clean, but was missing some useful amenities: a full-length mirror in the bedroom would have been useful because it stays very steamy for a long time in the bathroom despite having an extractor fan (this also leaves room smelling damp); shelving in the bathroom and a soap holder/shelf inside the shower itself is really needed as there isn't anywhere to put toiletries; extra hooks for towels (there is only one tiny hook on the back of the door only); larger hand towels (there is only a bath towel and a face cloth for each person).

The noise is terrible. There is no sound proofing at all. In the "Gold" named room you hear every word of conversation from the communal kitchen which is right outside door. Front door wakes also you up, disturbed my sleep at midnight and 4am - was trying to work. Other reviews have also mentioned noise. I'm not a sensitive sleeper. Never staying here again, especially not if working!

The Gold room was okay, theres a bit of mould above the shower and little natural light, but room large, nice high ceilings, bed fine, and large wardrobe. The aircon emitted a bit of a smell, like there was something bad at the intake fan end. It's not a 4 star like on listing sites. Avoid Gold room!

Kamil who checked me in was good with communication. I raised the noise issue, and whilst sympathetic there wasn't any other rooms available. They have ear plugs left by bed, but I don't want to sleep with them rammed in my ears!

SCAM ALERT!!!. I don’t even know where to start, haha! The place isn’t even advertised to the public. If you ask the neighbors, nobody knows it exists. They promote it as a 4-star hotel, but it’s an absolute scam. When you call, they make you wait on the street until some guy feels like showing up 30 minutes later with a bad attitude.||They’ll say whatever they want, but the truth is the place stinks in every possible way. It’s a total scam. It’s located on a street full of thieves, surrounded by filth and I dont even think that place is legal. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.
