Unique Design Apartments — Hotel in Lisbon

We stayed 4 nights in the fifth (top) floor room and loved our stay. The apartment was more spacious than a hotel room, we had a beautiful view of the famous arch, and the location was great. At our doorstep was the pedestrian street Avenida Auguata, which is the main street for strolling and shopping. It was a 10 min walk to other top to-visit neighborhoods too like Alfama and Bario Alto. There is no breakfast provided, but the well-appointed kitchen and 1-min walk to small grocery store made cooking breakfast each AM easy and enjoyable. ||Miguel, the owner, went above and beyond to help us before and during our stay. He sat with us when we arrived to give us tips on sights/restaurants and followed up with a long email reviewing other information. ||Room tip: room 5 (top floor) was great and had nice partial view of the arch in commercial square. Room 4 looks like it might have a Juliet balcony from what I could tell. I believe there are 4 or 5 rooms total. ||Pros and cons below, but the pros had 90% weight for us and the cons had 10% weight. ||Pros:|Beautiful apartment and very new/modern|Prime location|Comfortable king size bed|Quiet at night with good sleep quality|Great shower pressure |Miguel goes above and beyond to ensure a good stay (extra pillows if needed, expert restaurant tips)|View from top floor (room 5)||Cons:|A stack of good city maps for guests would have been a big help|No concierge (a tradeoff with any apartment|Slow whatsapp response times from Miguel|Water heater allows for 2 10-minute showers at a time. Miguel the proprietor was extremely welcoming and friendly. Picked us up at the airport and gave a little tour prior to arriving at the property. The room itself is wonderful. Very well appointed and designed (although no clothes washer.) The apartment was large, accommodating my daughter in the living room on a large pullout couch, and the parents in a master bedroom. The location CANNOT be beat...it is right in the heart of Lisbon. This means that you DO hear the street level activities, until about 11 at night when it dies down. Miguel also accommodated our late checkout, holding our luggage in another suite while we toured the city on our last day in Lisbon. Two strong air conditioning units, digital TV, well stocked kitchen, clean and bright and large bathroom, and lots of windows allows PLENTY of sunlight into the room, and nice views of the pedestrian street below. An outstanding location, ideal to discovery the city of Lisbon in a very easy way because the building is just in the middle of everything with good restaurants, shops, monuments and all kind of public transportation available within 2 minutes walking distance.|The decoration of the apartment was superb, with a countless number of unique details that easy capted our attention and is also very well equipped which helped us a lot go get all the comfort we usually don´t find when we stay in hotels besides of course the size of the apartment that offers much more space than an hotel room or most of them.|the bed was one of the best where we ever slept.|above all of this the hosts Miguel and Vanna were simply amazing with us providing a very complete information about the apartment and especially giving us the best tips to get the best of Lisbon.|An unforgettable experience that we will repeat for sure in...
