Hotel Villa Porto "PORTO VILLA" — Hotel in Porto

Do not book this hotel. I made a booking to stay here from 13th-16th March 2020, for which you need to call ahead at the latest 72 hours in advance to arrange a time to pick up keys and gain access, as they do not have a front desk. Their phone number does not work - I tried from 3 different mobiles and it fails to connect. If you call from a landline (of which I tried 11 different landlines) it says the number is not valid. I wrote multiple messages to them in Facebook Messenger and also wrote on their Facebook wall, as Facebook is listed as their only webpage/website. No-one replied in 18 days and still counting. I text them too. No reply. They have stolen my money, not provided me with a hotel room I could access and I'm now battling to try to get my money back through the travel agent I bought this through, who seem to think it's not their responsibility either to ensure their customers can gain access to hotel rooms they book. They're scammers. (If I had seen these photos on Trip Advisor before booking i never would have done too.) I would give it a rating of zero, if it were possible to on...

Just like other reviewers have noted, they do not have a reception.||That would be all right as long as they showed up for check in.||They make it clear that you have to let them know about your arrival, and we did.||I even gave them by-the-hour update.||When we arrived there was no one, we rang the bell for 10mn.||We figured out how to send them an email (not always easy when traveling abroad), and they took a full 10mn to respond.||Their response was that they would be there in 10 mn.||Meanwhile we were waiting with luggage and the car, all this in a small one-way street of Porto.||When we could not wait any further, we had to leave and book another place.||Despite their failure to show up for check in, they were absolutely not ready to give us a refund. We had a full 4 night reservation with them and they offered to refund 0, they even lied about the timing of events and pretended we were the ones who did not show up.||It's only thanks to many calls to bookings.com that we got a refund.||I strongly recommend avoiding them if you want a hassle free. Pasamos una estancia mi pareja y yo de 5 días en Oporto y nos alojamos en este hotel. Cuando llegamos no pudimos entrar hasta las tres porque supuestamente estaban de limpieza. Pero fueron amables y nos dijeron que podíamos dejar las maletas en recepción. A las tres llegamos a recepción y nos llevaron dos calles más arriba y en cuesta arriba, al llegar al portal del supuestamente edificio donde nos teníamos que alojar nos dijeron que nos iban a cambiar a otro edificio de al lado, porque había sucedido algo en el edificio y a mí parecer nos metieron una excusa. Al llegar al otro edificio y subir dos plantas llegamos a la habitación que iba a ser nuestro cobijo durante cinco días. Al abrir la puerta de la habitación lo primero que vimos en la pared fue un agujero en el que, supuestamente, había estado adosado un perchero y lo habían sacado de cuajo, y el agujero era una línea con agujeros en la pared bastante grandes. No tenía tampoco armario, sino una cajonera de 3 cajones y para de contar. No sabíamos donde colgar los abrigos ni donde dejar las maletas. Dos días más tarde de llegar, coincidimos con otra pareja que acababan de llegar a la ciudad invicta y el responsable de recepción les estaba metiendo la misma excusa que nos metieron a nosotros cuando llegamos, y justo los ubicaron en la habitación del frente, en el que tenía cocina incluida, pero lo demás ignoro su estado. La verdad que las almohadas que tienen no son cómodas, porque son dos cojines individuales y a nuestro parecer no eran cómodos. De cara al baño habría que destacar el agua de la ducha, que además de salir con poca fuerza el agua caliente se acaba rápido y no da para dos personas. Además de hacer frío en el baño porque no tienen calefacción. A mí parecer el trato estuvo cordial y amable pero el alojamiento no es lo que esperábamos. Además está ubicado en un barrio que deja mucho que desear, y pasar por esa calle a las 11 de la noche era bastante inseguro por la cantidad de rateros y herejes pululantes, aunque por el día deambulaban menos que por la noche. Lo único bueno del lugar es que estaba ubicado en pleno centro de todo.
