Rooms are simple but nice. Owner is very helpful. I've read other reviews about street noise and while you can hear it in the rooms it didn't bother me (and I'm a light sleeper)- at least that is until the last night (FC Porto won the national championship, people were honking their horns until 2 am- but I'm not sure anywhere in Ribeira would have been any quieter then!) I didn't eat breakfast but others in our group did and said it was very good, however since breakfast costs €10 I'd rather go to a local bakery and get 2 pastries for about €2. My only complaint is the shower/bathroom- if the lights in the bedroom aren't on, the bathroom is pretty dark, also the temperature on our shower (room 4) was difficult. It would often change back and forth between really hot and cold, and the 2nd person to shower often didn't have hot water. The other half of our party staying in room 1 and didn't have any problems.

The location is great, so many restaurants and wine bars in the area! No elevator but I didn't mind walking up the stairs. Request a 1st or 2nd floor room if you'd prefer to not have to do too many flights. I'd definitely recommend...

We chose this place because it is a small apartment in the heart of Porto's old town so it's perfect for a small family. The apartment has everything that you need and that you don't need (TV 😜). The breakfast area/ cafe is very modern and the hosts are very helpful and kind.|There is a but unfortunately: because of the area being so central you get loads of traffic during the day, with ambulance, police sirens, people papping the car horns etc. But the main problem is at night when you are in bed: you get people screaming in the narrow streets etc but especially loads of idiots driving very fast, revving their cars or motorcycles, etc. It's the downside of this area and I can guarantee that you won't get much sleep.(and I was there in February)|@the owner my ribeira:I would escalate this to the council and do a petition together with the other local businesses to fit speed cameras inside and outside the tunnel and anti social behaviour noise monitors so that they can be fined for this.|Apart from this the place is spot on and I will definitely be back.|Thank you very much, you have...

Centeally located unique accommodations close to everything. #2 is the size of a good studio and has just about everything you need. It does lack a closet area so I had to improvise using a shelf and two chairs for my clothes. I made do. The breakfast was jist right and fresh. The coffee was delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was easy access with a key code. A few things to note besides the closet. There are no blackout shades. There are shutters and they do let in a little light. Also, the laundry is not on sight, however, the laundrymat is near. About 4 blocks. As others have mentioned the noise can be an issue. It quiets down at night but intermittently there and it is at the mouth of a tunnel so at times amplifies! No napsduring the day, unless noise does not bother you. That is an unfortunate downside because it really is a...

Cute place but very few mod cons. Small room, no closet. No lift, only stairs. The better your view is, the higher the floor, the more painful the climb. We were on the 4th floor and our view was just ok. Very noisy with all the Ribiera pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This hotel is just at the mouth of a tunnel. If only another block or two over, it may be better. The room is charming but small. Many of the little charming offers don't actually work - like the record player. Cute, but didn't work. No TV or radio in the room either. Couldn't even open all the curtains. The staff were extremely nice, and the coffee in the lobby was the best I had in Porto!

This was one of the best guest house i’ve stayed. Staff were all very kind and nice. Room is squeaky clean, very unique interior with stone walls, a unique speaker also with the room view to the tunnel, just that it’s a bit noisy with all the cars passing. Located very close to the river so also nearby to everything. Kitchen were also fully equipped with plates, glasses, cups, utensils, pans and pots, and most importantly wine opener ;) Very recommended!

The air conditioner was not working, and although the staff tried to assist by providing an electric heater when we reported the issue, the room still wasn't warm enough. On the first night, we had to sleep without any heating. Additionally, there was a lot of noise from outside as the property was located above a tunnel, and the sound of cars could be heard at night. Otherwise, it was a nice room with a good location.
