If you’re ever in the mood to test the limits of your stomach lining and your patience in one sitting, this restaurant is a must-visit. Things started innocently enough: beers, Cokes, and a few tapas that were perfectly fine—lulling us into a false sense of security before the real horror show began.
The mains arrived, and with them the death of culinary joy. The roasted chicken managed to achieve the rare feat of being both Sahara-desert dry and completely flavorless, served alongside rice so sour it could curdle milk and fries with the chewiness of a retired gummy bear. The ribs? Let’s just say they were so devoid of taste and texture that identifying them as meat required an act of blind faith.
And then came the salted cod, the true villain of the evening. It hit the table smelling like a fisherman’s boot left too long in the sun, roasted to a carbonized husk, and so aggressively awful that one bite had the power to turn stomachs faster than a rollercoaster after six espressos.
To crown it all, the owner decided to play the part of a stand-up comedian, cracking glib jokes and trying to coax us into eating more of the inedible wreckage. The only thing funnier than his attitude was the bill—because comedy apparently costs extra.
We left lighter in the wallet, heavier in nausea, and with a new life motto: if you value your taste buds, your dignity, or your intestines, eat literally...

As the restaurant was slightly hidden away, it allowed a quieter dining experience with some good songs subtly playing in the background (I certainly bobbed along while eating) Food was gorgeous, massive shoutout to the seafood salad - plenty of seafood and provided a good balance to a rather meat-heavy diet while we're here in Porto.
Their 1/2 portions were actually good enough, rather than the full 1 portion (certainly for the sardine and octopus). The special dinner menu (fish/meat+soup+drinks+bread) was perfect for an amazing value for money - mackerel was one of the options and it's perfect for someone who embraces the fishy fish.
Genuine and friendly staff, goldilocks amount of banter, efficiency and checking in to see if you're happy with the food, not too much.
Another shoutout to the potatoes as well, soft fluffy and great companions to the fish dishes.
Thank you to the staff for being lovely to us, please do give...

• Food: We got the Menu Special that includes soup, bread, meat or fish choice with sides, any drink and coffee. Soups served all well seasoned. Taste great with bread. We got white wine for drinks, they serve a lot, it's good but seemed watered down. Tried oven mackerel and fried sardines with rice or potatoes and it was simple, amazing, and well cooked. • Service: Our server was open to friendly conversations and very attentive. Just make sure not to sit on the other restaurant side. If you do, she'll let you know nicely. • Ambiance: Cozy home cooked meal setting, perfect for a lunch with partners, friends and family. Seating at the sidewalks (recommended) and in restaurant available. • Value: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. $10 for all specials. It is a cash only restaurant.
