Palladium Apartments, Porto — Hotel in Porto

The appartments are right in the centre of town within easy walk of the waterfront, rail station and restaurants. We stayed in apartment 201, at the front with French windows overlooking the street. The room was spacious, well appointed with sofa, tv, dining table and comfy double bed. Kitchen included a microwave, hob, kettle and coffee pod machine with pods included for us! They even thought of leaving us an ice tray for the freezer and washing up liquid. We didn't have to buy anything except our food. The shower was lovely and we had plenty of fresh towels and a hair drier included too. Don't bring a travel iron as they had a proper one and an ironing board for us too. The rooms are decorated in a fresh clean white, and it was a lovely place to come back to after exploring the city. The entrance is right next to a trendy second hand clothing shop (worth a visit) and we phoned on arrival to get the entry code. You could probably email a few days before arrival to do the same thing but the owners don't contact you automatically - it's left for you to contact them. Palladium apartments is in the very centre of Porto 4 min walk (350 meters) from the Sao Bento railway station. You can reach most sights within walking distance from the apartments.||This is apartments and there is no reception in the building. You decide when to meet and they will hand over the keys and show you how things work in the apartment. It´s a bit hard to find the place. However, the staff was helpful and guided us to the right door when we called them.||||Our apartment had a decent kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and a big terrace. Everything is newly renovated and lovely. I guess it will be hard to keep the place in such a nice shape for long thou.||||Bed was comfortable. Free fast Wi-Fi. The room had a high ceiling and a very nice feel.||||Negatives||- There was a bad smell from the drain in the bathroom. ||- Some noise and light from the staircase. Плюсы||1. Самый главный плюс - расположение отеля. Действительно все рядом: можно прогуляться и до знаменитого вокзала, и до торговой улицы, позавтракать в кафе Маджестик; 2. Есть терраса, но, честно говоря, она была грязновата, поэтому завтракать или ужинать было там не очень приятно 3. Цена апартаментов||Минусы:||1. Не просто найти место (очень много вывесок (торговая улица), мы несколько раз просили выйти нас встретить, но, к сожалению, коммуникация не произошла - уборщицы, которые встречают, совсем не говорят по-английски); ||2. Нет лифта! Если вы путешествуете с багажом и без сильного мужчины, безусловно, у Вас возникнут трудности. опять же уборщицы Вам не помогут. Лестница довольно крутая (фото во вложении); ||3. Нет элементарных вещей на кухне - был сломан штопор, не было соли, все покупали сами и оставили там. Поэтому есть шанс, что у Вас будут кухонные мелочи, которые, безусловно, нужны. ||4. И самое неприятное! В двери в апартаменты, не знаю зачем, но сделано стеклянное окно (фото во вложении)! И все было бы отлично, если ночью на любое движение на лестничной площадке отеля не включался свет+отсутствует звукоизоляция! В-общем выспаться невозможно.
