The best restaurant in Romania 🇷🇴
I have spent 9 days in different cities trying out different restaurants and this is the absolute greatest with regards to food’s taste, quality and price + staff friendliness + ambient chillness.
For food, we had the best goulash soup I’ve tried in my life (no kidding, I have tried this soups in different cities and countries and this is the most tasty one I’ve ever had) + pork knuckle that was really nicely and evenly roasted + pork neck that tasted even better than some expensive rib eye steak I had.
The staff was very approachable when I asked for clarifications and recommendations, and really helpful when I asked for my leftovers to be packed for take away (if you cannot finish your massive pork knuckle - worry no more! Take it away and trust me even in 2 days time it stills tastes amazing: we had it for breakfast when we forgot to buy bread haha).
The place has a unique decoration and was elegant but chill, really receptive.
The price were more than affordable compared to the quality we obtained (it was around 35€ for two people sharing one starter + 2 mains + 2 drinks).

Read moreA nice place to get lunch, it was a bit busier then most places at the moment I went which I liked. The Craft sausage with Cluj mustard sauce and thyme and green onion mashed potatoes was a good choice for lunch, especially liked the black condiment, didn't have it before. Sausages could have been a bit more seared. Will probably come back to try the Smoked pork hock but am I bit hesitant seeing different photo's of it, some which seem appealing and some that don't.
I wen't back to try the Smoked pork hock, unfortunately this wasn't available at the time so I went for the Beef cheeks. They were tasty although the portion was a bit small and the sides were lukewarm, I would've preffered them a bit more warm. The prices are fair which didn't make this much of an...
Read moreI loved this place. The decor was beautiful, the staff were polite and attentive, and the menu was presented in multiple languages for foreign guests. My server was also fluent in English, which was nice, since I visited almost immediately after arriving in the country, and was still quite jet lagged. As for the food and drink, I tried their specialty cocktail the 1568, and it was delicious. It also paired quite well with my meal, I went with the pork ribs with ginger and honey glaze, served with horseradish mashed potatoes and glazed apples; I cannot recommend this dish enough, it was amazing. I also tried their mixed pickles as a palette cleanser, and they were wonderful as well. Would definitely try...
