Great location. 300m from main square and cathedral. BUT....property is located down an alley full of rubble, and is FILTHY.. |There is a light that has a sensor in alley. But it's terrifying. They are above shops, one being a pet shop, which is within property courtyard, Which meant we were woken by barking dogs every morning at 9 am. |Staff are never at the property, and rubbish bins are never emptied, left overflowing.|Place was nicely decorated and would have been nice when new. But they are not being maintained properly. Whoever is supposed to be cleaning really needs a good talking to. The place is filthy. Our socks were so dirty, they had to go in the bin. There was no mop so couldnt even clean ourselves.|I'd already bought wine glasses and mugs, so refused to buy mop and bucket.|The coffee machine had water in. Which was green with mould growing inside, like fishtank.|We bought a cafetiere and mugs, and used them. Cloth and scourer were left from previous guests and were well worn.|The kitchen worktops were falling apart.|The countertop fridge was on floor under counter, and made a terrible noise.|The blinds on window were lopsided, |The duvet was very thin, and only an additional small blanket on bed. Bed only had 2 very flat pillows. |Bathroom was lovely, but shower tiles were full of scum, in need of a good scrub. |2 rough hand and bath towels were supplied. When we asked for a clean set, 4 days in, we were refused. We were told we had to give 24hrs notice for clean towels. So, we had to use same ones from...
Read moreThe place is an old house that was recently restored and brought up to date with premium materials, excellent craftmanship and great design ideas. Do not get fooled by the bad looking access tunnel, it is still under construction. The central location and close proximity with excellent small restaurants and coffee shops makes this the perfect choice both for business and pleasure bookings. Each room has a small kitchen with all the tools for a basic breakfast and it is equipped with its own heating unit. The check-in and check-out procedure work like a charm and it is completely remote (you are provided with a front-door access code and with the individual codes for the mailboxes that hold the keys to the booked rooms). Pros: clean room and common spaces, premium materials and appliances, comfy beds with premium sheets, stable WiFi signal with very good bandwidth. Cons (just for room #5): a persistent mold-like smell that would not go away even after several hours of venting with widows wide-opened, the storage space is insufficient for 2 people with just 2 airline cabin luggage for a 4 days trip, the heating unit in the room starts at every other 10 minutes and, although the operating noise is rather normal for this type of unit, it still bothers you a lot. This behavior could not be amended even by dialing all the radiators in the room on their lowest setting. Also, the stairs squeak a lot making the trip up and down a showstopper for the sleeping wife. All in all, a highly recommended location for...
Read moreImportant watchout: Coming for the festivals? You will check out at 11:00AM no matter what. They don't care that their clients come for these events and are forced to sleep 4-5 hrs or less in their last night. They say the cleaning company won't accept late check-outs which is another way to say they don't care about reallymanaging the location, only about billing you. Best part? The cleaning company wasn't cleaning yet even at 11:45AM when we left.
They have no parking arrangements whatsoever. If you park anywhere in the area you will have to pay 3,50E/ 2hrs max. Btw, the parking app doesn't work for foreign mobile numbers.
Bring your own shower gel. They only offer 2 small complimentary sachets.
