Greetings everyone!
This message is not to discourage other customers (but otherones can have also similar surprises ofcourse) , but hope it will reach its goal by being read by the restaurant team, so perhaps they change some approach (like waiters taking theyre customers more seriously & with respect, instead of the very bad habit when they smoke in front of the restaurant and clients).
Went there for family-summer dinner, the food and wine quality was good (took 3 Salmon Steak Salad and 1 Camembert Salad), but the service it is far from the kitchens quality. We arrived to the restaurant around 20:40 (plus/minus 5 min) and checked out at the entrence door the Menü/Food Card. Were thinking like 5 minutes where to sit, while 2-3 meters away 3 waiters were chatting/smoking not even bothering to take a step closer and telling something like: "Good evening & Welcome, would you like to eat something or just drink something / Outside or inside on the terrace... follow me please, to be seated". Nooooo, you can forget it! So after 5 minutes waiting we sat down on our own. Then we checked the Drink Card/Food Card, took our choices and then weve got the wine. My mother said she cannot toast on empty stomach, she prefers to wait a bit for the food. Weve chit chat 10minutes, then 20 minutes and around 21:30 when we were already looking with big eyes in the direction of the kitchen, the waitress gets to us telling, that "sorry, it takes 5 more minutes cause they have lots of orders" - weve looked around and there were 2 couples at 2 separate tables already eating, so we were asking ourselves, for who do they prepare so much food, when everyone else is just having a glass of wine. Finally at 21:45 the food arrived, was tasty, but we were waiting at least one hour! Ofcourse they were continuosly saying sorry and trying to find an excuse or a cheap explanation, instead of just saying :"We apologise for the inconvinience what happened, let us offer you a glass of wine or desert from the house, as you prefer !? ". NOOoooo, there is noo way to be professionals. So in the end we payed and told them that this one hour waiting we`ll go as feedback online, since they told us the manager is not around.
Pity that such carefully prepared restaurant can make such a mistake, just because of the waiters carelessness. We left quite frustrated from the Restaurant. Thanks God there are several other choices to make in Cluj.
So 2 Stars for the position of the Restaurant and kitchen/food quality. The service, waiting time...
Read moreThe place is not what it used to be, there is always a problem there. Before they were 2 terrible guy waiters with no respect for customers but I think that they've finally been kicked out. But now the new problem is that they put tips on the bill without you knowing it. The waiters choose their tips from 10% to 15% and they don't tell you when you pay. It's the only place in Cluj where they do this shady practice. Usually in other restaurants they ask you how much tips you want to give or you can give what you want. The tips is not mandatory here in Romania. I asked the waiter for my money back because they don't deserve a tips for doing this and he give it back, the waiter wasn't a bad man but their system is the problem. He just said that they are used to doing it for the past 3 months. I was regular at the bujole for 6 years but after these events, I ll never come back there ever again. I just hope they will change this and respect their customers because the place is good and the food is fine but while this practice is still on just go to an other restaurant like Olivo restaurant...
Read moreI understand the "No Laptop Policy," but Bujole does not appear to apply it in a fair manner to all of its customers. I was there with my laptop for work; I ordered a filet mignon, lemonade, and coffee while my laptop was on the table, so the waiter knew I was there with my laptop.
A few minutes after ordering, the waiter informs me, "Sorry, we have a no-laptop policy," despite the fact that there was a lady with her laptop before to my arrival.
While the laptop lady remained at her table unbothered by anyone, I was forced to pay for two drinks that I didn't touch because I had to leave.
Response: Thank you for your explanation, it was indeed a misunderstanding. I worked on my laptop at the same place more than two years ago, seeing someone with a laptop, not knowing she was a manager, and having my laptop already on my table when I ordered; to me, there were enough signs that there was no "No-Laptop Policy" regardless of the door sign. No refund needed, I'm happy to pay what I...
