Went there today around lunch time. It was so crowded, the queue was all the way to the front door, still only 2 cash registers operating. One of them was operated by a lady, who turned up to be the manager, a very surprising thing, given that she was filling up boxes with chicken with one hand, while being on the phone with the other, all straight faced and clearly not in the mood for any of us in the queue. She even had to ask customers twice what they wanted as she was clearly distracted by her phone. I got to place my order half an hour later and I asked if it's possible to have water instead of soda with my food. She answered by asking me if I want the larger menu for 2 extra lei. I said no thank you. And because I didnt quite understood why she didn't addressed the water request directly, I asked if I need to buy bigger in order to have the water (I even said tap water is fine) and she answered by saying I shouldnt argue because she is not in charge with the rules. When I questioned why her obvious iritabble attitude towards customers, she just left and asked someone else to take over. I guess my option of speaking with a manager had already expired, I had to be downgraded to a normal sales person. Miss manager was there out of pure generosity, not to deal with customers' questions. I went to KFC for junk food only, but even found junk service. And regarding the water problem, any place which serves food, has the obligation to provide regular water to its customers. If not by law (yet) at least by the common sense. But I guess that is too fancy to ask from a restaurant which proudly display its award for...(fill...
Read moreThis review is resumed exclusively for the KFC situated on Iuliu Maniu Street from Cluj Napoca. It doesn't deserve any star but the "POST" button will remain grayed out until selecting one. Shortly, it's one of the most disgusting places to eat. There are foodcrumbs all over the place. As a customer, you have to clean your chair in order to be able to take a seat. Otherwise your pants will become greasy. All the tables are cleaned with the same cloth by the same cleaning lady, who uses the other hand to wipe the floor. The food waste is stuffed with the tray on which you actually eat, then added to the pile of the rest of the trays that are going to be used for the next customers. I personally stood not less than 45 minutes in line to order, after which I didn't have a place to seat. I have to mention that the line was no longer than 5-6 feet and the customers didn't buy more than 2 menus each. The bathrooms are dangerously filthy, sometimes without soap, other times with broken hand dryer. Sometimes not even toilet paper. So now I finally understand why are they always giving me wet wipes when I consume my food on the spot, but never when I ask for it...
Read moreThe prices in this place are getting out of hand. Prices aside, the term "fast food" does not apply here.
You can easily expect to wait 15-20 minutes just to get served when it’s busy and the amount of time they run out of chicken just blows my mind… surely that’s something you should have plenty of and ready to serve.
Anyway, my original review of this place was much worse. However, I’ve edited this to reflect the introduction of the electronic ordering kiosks… this frees up staff to prepare your order and solves the issue with people pushing in line.
It can still get a bit too busy and the layout of the electric kiosks aren’t very helpful (back to back instead of all facing one way). They could have fit at least one more kiosk if they had just turned them all 90 degrees and had them next to each other.
That being said, definitely a major improvement from how it was back in 2022. Just have to work on ensuring there’s enough food and served fast enough, specially when the prices increased 44%...
