The restaurant is located directly across the street from one of Moscow's most famous Theaters making it an ideal place to go to if you're waiting for a show.
The inside is split into two sections by the kitchen. One side is the older coffee house and the other is the newer expanded dining area. We sat in the older coffee shop section, but the term older isn't reflected in the atmosphere. The interior is very modern and has a very comfortable appeal to it.
Some of the menu items are smaller than you might expect. My wife ordered the sushi and I ordered chicken wings with a side of fries. My wife did think the sushi portions were on the small side, but I thought the wings and fries were portioned just fine.
The food is good, with what we ordered, there was no reason to assume it would stand out. Bottom line is you won't leave dissatisfied.
Any lacking in the main course and appetizer dishes is made up in the desserts and drinks. Lots of novel drinks; I got a BlackBerry Mojito, that I thought was as perfect as a Mojito can get. I also got a cream puff pastry which was crisp on the outside and creamy, sweet on the inside. My wife got a cake thing that all I remember is it had excellent texture and taste.
If I ever go to the theater across the street again, I would probably go back...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday btw she’s from Europe that’s why we chose this restaurant to show her Russian hospitality, however we had a very disappointing experience. We brought a cake, flowers, and balloons to make the evening special, but no one informed us beforehand that bringing our own cake was not allowed. The place was nearly empty on a Monday night, and we ordered food and drinks, so we didn't expect an issue.
When we asked for a lighter to light the candles, the waitress—who was the only bright spot of the evening—told us to eat the cake discreetly. Shortly after, the manager approached us in an unprofessional manner, wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and asked passive-aggressively if everything was okay instead of making us feel welcome and give a discount or at least wish happy birthday. To make matters worse, the manager later reprimanded the waitress for allowing us to eat the cake, which was very disheartening to witness.
While I understand that policies exist, the way the situation was handled was disappointing and lacked basic hospitality. The experience could have been much better with a little more understanding and kindness. We did leave a tip for the waitress, who did her best to...
ENG: I often visit this restaurant and always satisfied after a great meals from Novikov Group, hookah fairly good (but Amsterdam mixture used here only), and quite a large selection of wines to enjoy taste and budget, which is very important! I really like this place in the evening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At this time, the restaurant serves a guest DJ playing music loud enough, plus the international hubbub of the public, all this creates a certain cinematic image of a popular French restaurant for the celebrity party. But this is my subjective opinion. Pluses: Location (center of Moscow); Adequate price (for the center of Moscow); Delicious and varied cuisine (I especially like the salad of roasted eggplant with goat cheese and king scallops, as well as seafood with mashed potatoes, and Adjara khachapuri here is very tasty 😂); Minuses: Workload (just come and sit down at a good table is unrealistic, it is necessary to order at least an hour, what would have happened in principle, but if you want a round, big and beautiful table for a group of 8 people in a cozy corner with a view of the theater square - book during the week); WC (toilet room is 4 (two for men and women), but they are often lacking and the toilet can be built the...
