Their website states: ”If you need the best quality hotel accommodation located in center of Novi Sad, the luxurious hotel Planeta Inn with 4 stars is the ideal place for you.” ||NOT QUITE! The four star rating must be a joke. According to Swedish standards I would say this is hardly a two star hotel and I can assure you it is far from luxurious. The place is quite worn down and extremely dated. It makes me think of the Soviet Union in the seventies. Maybe this was considered to be luxurious back then? The interior walls are painted with the most disgusting green color you can imagine. This appear to be quite recently done, which is unbelievable. Old and dark furniture everywhere. The rooms are dark and strangely arranged. Same green walls. The beds are hard as rocks and my room smelled like a drain pipe. The smell originated from the bathroom sink, which was incorrectly installed. It’s reasonably clean though. Not at all ”four star clean” but at least no bed bugs or suspected stains of body fluids as far as I could see. Now the breakfast... ||||In Sweden we put pride into the first meal of the day and a hotel breakfast is almost always very good. Unfortunately we’re not in Sweden now and this was probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever come across. Looked around a bit but found nothing edible and settled for a cup of coffee only. The coffee were nowhere to be found. I had to ask for a cup of coffee and the waiter seemed a bit surprised but put out a coffeepot after half a minute. I poured some and realised it was hot water with loads of ground coffee beans in it. Not filtered at all. Like a thick watery sludge. Left the cup untouched and left the place. Next day we went to a bar for breakfast, which was a much nicer experience. A quite tasty hot and cold buffé, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice were offered. I payed 600 dinars for it. Around €6.||||I realize that there is no kind of international accreditation system for the hotel star rankings and if I assume that this hotels ranking was based on a ten star maximum ranking, instead of the five stars we’re used to, I may agree that it deserve four stars. I do not consider the smell of feces, rock hard beds and a lousy breakfast luxurious. And i don’t think that tying a red ribbon around the bath towels is enough to be considered a luxury hotel. ||||The only forgiving and positive feature of this hotel is its location - Just a short stroll from the nice city centre of Novi Sad. This is the only reason I don’t give it one star only. ||||I stayed for two nights and will...

Read moreI stayed there during the IPICS + CSP summer school. The check in was smooth and fast and it took 2-3 minutes. The receptionist didn't speak much of English but he was kind and tried to explain everything. Inside, the hotel is very nice as well as all of the common areas. The breakfast had pretty everything. The personnel was very kind and tried to assist in case we needed something. The wifi speed was not as I was expecting but that is maybe due to the summer school. The area is not a perfect one but in either direction after 100m it is pretty good. The room was very clean and well prepared. The only two things that I can complain is that there are no blinders to the window nor thick curtains so the day light very early in the morning (5.00 am) was a problem for me. Also, the shower cabin needs some maintenance but that is a minor thing for me. If i come again in Novi Sad I will definitely choose...
