Macchiato Kuća — Restaurant in City of Novi Sad

This mini-hotel is an extension of a relatively well-visited restaurant, located in the strict centre of Novi Sad, almost hidden in a narrow little alley. ||Pros: Its main advantage is an exceptional location, as the guest stands in front of Saint George's Cathedral after just a few hundred metres of walking. Because of the vicinity of the downtown area, numerous attractive bars and shops are at your fingertips, and there is also just a short walk to the giant Commercial Complex, called Promenade. All staff was very polite and warm, especially Mrs. Mirjana at the desk, who expressed exceptional efficiency and offered some good advice about things to do in Novi Sad. I must not forget to mention maids, who were almost invisible, but every day the room was thoroughly cleaned. ||Cons: My double-bed room was not too big, but it was modernly furnished and offered good sound protection. To highlight real weak points, I'd point out slightly overly cheap toilet paper and really tiny parking lots (under the giant tree), for which they charge extra.||All in all, this mini-hotel is a good value for money, which in the aftertaste leaves a memory of a top-notch...

I stayed at the Macchiato House during a recent visit to Novi Sad, and I cannot recommend the place highly enough. In addition to the fantastic location, highly quality of accommodation, and the value for money, perhaps the commendable part of the experience was the professionalism of the incredible front of house staff and the owner who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was extremely positive - even when I had issues with my car they recommended an excellent mechanic and personally called to ensure the transaction went smoothly. Our 2 night stay was fine, but not outstanding. We requested a room change on arrival - the larger, more expensive room we booked and paid for was on the second floor, which we weren’t aware of. We changed to a smaller room on the first floor. Fewer steps. AC was excellent - effective and quiet. Beds were comfortable, but the coverings not so much. Breakfast was a la carte, and none of the 4 dishes we tried over the 2 days stood out. Room was quiet. Reception staff were helpful, and wait staff were efficient.
