I'm writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Oceans Apartments in Durban. Unfortunately, the service and amenities fell short of my expectations, particularly for a luxury establishment.
Key issues:
• Poor communication: No phone support, only WhatsApp. No one gets back to you. You speak to a host who doesn’t care. • Limited housekeeping: Towel and linen changes, and cleaning services only available for stays over 7 days or at extra cost. not serviced apartments take note ! • Small bed and inadequate towels (thin, small towels, not bath sheets). • Bathroom floor mat doesn't absorb water. • No accommodations for cot or late checkout requests. • Ineffective air conditioning (doesn't warm up the apartment). • Stained bedding which we had to remove and couldn’t replace as there was no extra bedding. •not enough toilet paper 1 toilet later was given and crockery and cutlery is minimal. •bad smell in the room and apartment.
Given the luxurious standards advertised, I expected more. The cold weather on September 30th made the inadequate heating particularly uncomfortable nor was there any extra bedding to make us comfortable and warm.
