Maison Cabrière Boutique Suites — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

We had the pleasure of staying in Maison Cabrière Boutique Suites for two nights when visiting Franschhoek, exploring the vineyards of the area. The hotel is very well located in the heart of the small town of Franschhoek. It was close enough to everything but set back enough to be nice and quiet. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the delightful front-of-house team, who explained how everything worked before taking us to our room.

The room was absolutely stunning. Big comfy beds, an incredible bathroom, a glorious terrace and lots of useful amenities. It was one of the nicest rooms we stayed in during our two-week visit to South Africa. The loadshedding wasn’t really a problem when we stayed, as they had backup power for most things.

They also provided a complimentary bottle of wine and snacks, a coffee machine with Nespresso pods and very high-end toiletries to use, all of which made the experience even better. We spent plenty of time sitting on our wonderful balcony enjoying wonderful South African wine.

Highly recommend this beautiful place to stay, right in the centre of Franschhoek. The properly is beautiful with lovely gardens and a peaceful pool area for relaxing. Our room was beautiful with one of the most amazing views over the mountains. The special touches for my husband’s birthday were very much appreciated, we will always remember fondly sitting on our beautiful balcony with a glass of local cap Classique! Maison Cabriere is in a fantastic location to be able to easily walk to vineyards and the local restaurants and shops. We both had high expectations from reading so many great reviews before arriving, however our stay still exceeded expectations. Our only regret was that we only had a short stay. We had such a fantastic time that we have already booked to come back to South Africa next year, we would love to book with you again! Maison Cabriere is exceptional! Everything about our stay was perfect. The whole property is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and no detail is overlooked. It’s on a nice quiet street but only 2 min walk to the main street with the shops & restaurants. Our suite (Le Godin) was beautiful -separate sitting room with selection of tea & coffee, wood burning stove, fridge. Beds were very comfy with high quality bed linens and the bathroom was huge and perfectly appointed. Our suite also had a huge private terrace overlooking the pool and garden.

And the hosts, Eveline and Alexander, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. They recommended local restaurants and wineries, organised taxis and helped with anything we needed to make our stay perfect. I would never stay anywhere else in Franschhoek!
