In my travels to date, I have never had such an incredible experience with a hotel. Clifford and the whole team at La Clé are on the next level when it comes to help and attention to detail. Clifford was also incredibly helpful assisting with arranging to see a doctor when one of us was sick. The hotel is the definition of boutique with only 5 or 6 rooms in the property so you get a really decidcated, personalised experience. The internal decor is stunning and the surrounding grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained, with an outdoor pool and veranda for guests to use as well. The location is excellent for proximity to town which is walkable in under 10 minutes and it's the same for the wine tram / bus terminal at Franchoek. There is an epic continental breakfast spread every day with hot options available on request. The staff are friendly and chatty, and the hotel is on hand for any concierge service you might need, from vineyard recommendations, to bookings, cancellations and anything else a guest might need. I'd say for those staying in Franchoek this place is a must.

Our stay at La Clé des Montagnes was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a warm and genuine atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home — albeit in a home far more elegant than our own! The property itself is stunning: a perfect blend of natural beauty, refined design, and quiet luxury. Every detail — from the lush gardens to the beautifully curated interiors — is crafted with love and intention. But what truly set our experience apart was the incredible care and kindness shown by Melanie and John. Their attention to detail, personal touch, and heartfelt hospitality made all the difference. Thank you, Melanie and John, for everything. We carry your generosity and the beauty of La Clé with us — until we return.

Wow! We stayed in one of Le Cle's 2-bedroom villas on a recent two-night stay in Franschhoek. I wish we had been there for a full week. I have never experienced better service --- and I have done quite a bit of travelling over the years. The accommodations were spectacular and well-located to all we wanted to do in Franschhoek. It felt like we were staying in a friend's luxurious home (albeit with multiple staff attending to every need). If you have the opportunity to stay at Le Cle, do it!

We spent three nights at La Clé Lodge in early June and honestly, it was one of the most memorable getaways we’ve had.||From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at home—warm, welcoming, and genuinely keen to make our stay special. A huge shoutout to Gahno, who was an absolute legend—organising dinner bookings, transfers, and giving us top-notch local recommendations.||The lodge itself is stunning—classic Cape Dutch charm with beautifully styled suites and lush gardens. It’s got that perfect mix of laidback luxury and homely comfort. We loved kicking back with sundowners by the fire after a day out and about.||We took the bikes for a spin through the vineyards—such a fun way to explore the area—and even squeezed in a hit of tennis on the gorgeous court. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.||The shared curry dinner was a real highlight, which was packed with flavour and felt like a warm hug after a cool evening, and being able to unwind with new friends was awesome. Every meal was delicious, and the service was spot on.||La Clé is one of those places that just gets it right. Whether you’re into wine, food, art, or just want to unwind in beautiful surroundings, this place ticks all the boxes. We left feeling totally recharged and already planning...

Sonstige...
