I rarely stay in hostel type accommodation. This one piqued my curiosity so I tried the 10 bed women's dormitory. What you get is a compartmentalised bunk bed with your own lighted alcove, two power points and a curtain screen. The bedding was good quality- thick and fluffy duvet or doona and nice firm pillow. A personal locker is provided just inside the dormitory door. There is one bathroom/toilet for the ten beds- one of those with no shower cubicle so the whole bathroom gets wet and steamy once someone takes a shower. There are no power points in the bathroom so if you want to dry your hair with a hairdryer you either need to do it in your "cubicle" or sit in the hallway. There is only one mirror in the bathroom and once someone has showered, it steams up and is difficult to use after that. The whole dorm is well-heated, even the floorboards. It was a novel experience but I found it noisy because I could hear every time someone was showering and there were other people staying there who did not respect the need to keep the lights and noise down after midnight.
