There's something about Soo Guest House that feels like you're stepping into a warm, welcoming hug. Maybe it's the vibrant energy of the two sisters who run it, Momo and KoKo, each with their own unique charm and passion. Momo, with her love for Korean singer Lee Chan Won, and KoKo, a proud BTS Army member, infuse the place with a lively spirit that makes you feel right at home.
I spent two cozy nights here in a room that felt like my own little sanctuary. With heated floors that gently warmed my feet on chilly evenings and a private shower that boasted a blissfully hot, high-pressure water stream, it was hard not to feel pampered. The room, equipped with its own fridge, was the epitome of comfort and cleanliness, something that's a top priority for me.
But what really makes Soo Guest House stand out is the heartwarming hospitality of Momo and KoKo. They were not just hosts but felt like friends who genuinely cared about making my stay as enjoyable as possible. They even helped me with my laundry, a gesture that, though small, felt incredibly kind.
The location? Absolutely perfect. Just a stone's throw away from the train station and a short stroll to the lively Myeongdong Night Market, it was the ideal base for exploring. The area is a food lover's dream, teeming with halal restaurants and even a 7-Eleven close by for late-night snacks.
Breakfast was another highlight of my stay. Served bright and early, the spread of thick, toasty bread, aromatic coffee, fluffy eggs, and more was the perfect fuel for a day of adventures. It was a simple yet satisfying affair that I looked forward to each morning.
Pricewise, Soo Guest House is a steal. For the level of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience it offers, not to mention the exceptional hospitality, it's incredibly reasonably priced. It's rare to find a place that offers so much value and feels like a second home.
In every sense, Soo Guest House is more than just a place to sleep. It's a place where memories are made, friendships are formed, and the essence of genuine hospitality is alive and well. Momo and KoKo have created something special here, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming place to stay in the city. I left with a heart full of gratitude and can't wait to return to what feels like my home...

Read moreExcellent location in the Myeongdong district and good value for money. The guesthouse is very comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay (except for the uncomfortable mattress). The owners are helpful and very kind. Unfortunately, my experience was tainted by an unpleasant incident. The owners' obsession with K-Pop is more than evident. So far, so good. However, under the pretext of giving me a free CD, the owner insisted on taking pictures of me (with the CD in my hand and in front of a series of posters of a K-Pop singer). Not satisfied, she asked me to open YouTube App on my phone and subscribed me to the guy's channel. Finally, she took pictures of my YouTube account to "prove" that I actually subscribed to the guy's YouTube channel. At first, I agreed out of mere politeness, but then I realized the potential consequences. Now I'm forced to carefully monitor the singer's fan pages (luckily, I have friends and former colleagues in Korea who can help me) to ensure my photo isn't being used without my consent. If so, I'll be forced to take legal action. In the EU, this would be a violation of the GDPR. I don't want to be part of a tool for mass control (yes, that's K-Pop). I'm sorry, but I have to write this to warn future guests. Lastly, I was explicitly asked to write a 10/10 review... well, until now, in my experience, I'd only received this type of request in Third...
